Hi! My grandpa wants to print photos he took at vacation and events he visited. But he has no clue how to use his laptop. Therefore I want to find a printer with a screen with the ability to print directly from a SD card. He should be able to choose pictures he wants to print with a few button presses. Could somebody give me a recommendation?

I would rather suggest having the photos printed by a professional or a website. No need to pick the right printer, no need for ink cartridges, no nothing. Just bring the SD card to the pro and he gets the job done.

Some website are very cheap (a few cents for each photo). foto.com, for instance, does it and ships to Deutschland.

edit : I love your profile and how it is animated. Any tips on how to do that, where to find the method to do that ?

Agreed! I myself have a good printer with ink, photo paper and all that stuff, but the pictures made by a professional look a lot better.

I dunno. Didn't asked him about that. I told him that I'll try to find some printers that would fit his needs so he has a varity to choose from. I would say up to 300€ (($320) I'm from Germany).
I already had a look but most of them don't say exactly if they're able to print directly from sd.

Canon Selphy. Don't know what model is now actual, but this does what you are looking for (not the first models; they didn't had screen iirc). Also before buying, inform yourself about availability to buy "cartridges" for it; in my country, for example, you could buy printer, but it was extremely hard to find shop that sells cartridges.
