(fictional characters NOT included )who would you kill? Could you live with the guilt of killing someone for selfish reasons? This will only work for one person.

Definitely Gaben (because Steve Jobs is already dead (RIP)). Why? Because everyone in the world would bow to me and wait for me to release Half Life 3. Oh and of course - free Steam games for life.

God.

edit
Oh, fictional characters aren't allowed ;), so I guess I'd take out the Koch brothers (one for his "talent" the other one just cuz).

kill a person which is already dead? you had to kill stephen hawking to get the ability to build a timemachine to travel back and kick michael jackson... but you would not absorb his skills because you already killed hawking.

I'd just find talented people who are on the verge of death anyway and put them out of their misery. Win/win situation

What would decide what talent you get? people can have more than one.

I think id go for a talent that would be practical assuming the talent altered to something suited to my style of course I would probably go with an author of some sort.

Trick question. Could I get away with the murder in the first place?

i'd kill a super successful serial killer, so in that after i kill him i can hide all the evidence and not ever be caught

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes_\(_TV_series)

TV show where basically people randomly start turning into mutants X-Men style, except more focused on drama than cool superhero stuff. One guy had a power where he could cut people's skulls off and gain their powers from looking at their exposed brains. 3 guesses as to whether he was a good guy or a bad guy ;-)

My first thought :D
I still remember the feeling after watching all 4 seasons in several days, believing the series were finished, only to be left with a cliffhanger and "To be continued..." :|

I have the mindset of being capable of justifying my actions if people benefit from the person's death. With that said, I would probably kill a criminal leader, like lets say a head of a huge criminal gang, which would benefit me in knowing how to make money, how to manipulate people, etc. The same time, I wouldn't feel guilty in killing the person for that same person is responsible for killing, enslaving, manipulating, etc. others. I could also feel possibly as a hero, for it could mean a lot of lives are saved in the future for it. I could use his skills for legal and good ways in running a legit business. The only reason these gangs exist is not because their skills cant be transferred to real businesses, but because it is more profitable doing so.

I'd definitely murder my childhood friend Connie. I'd dearly miss her, but I've always wanted to know how to juggle and can't be arsed to learn.

I'd kill someone without any talent. That way, I could be sure no one would come after me for my newly acquired talents.
