I have never played a multiplayer FPS before, other than the L4D franchise, which isn't actually a legit "multiplayer FPS". ;3 In relation to the thread "Is CS:GO good?", I'm just wondering if there's a better multiplayer shooter right now than CS:GO. I do not care for the skill level required. Just tell me your thoughts, please. ;D

Even though it's not a full on 10 v. 10 multiplayer, the Payday series are great! Just look at a bit of gameplay, it's pretty fun if you get to know it (even if it's a bit old).

Please don't even try to claim otherwise cause i know what I'm talking about. If you don't find any servers and you're not living in asia you're just too stupid to use a server browser. I am so freaking sick of hearing untrue and just plain dumb comments like "no active servers" and "nobody plays this anymore" over and over again. I've helped hundreds of new players with all kinds of problems in a polite and constructive way (even implemented a FAQ section in my review) so please... tell me again that there are "no servers"...

Like with basically every fps.
I'm not playing competitive much and I hardly encounter cheaters on casual.
People tend to call players a cheater pretty fast. I've been kicked, insulted and accused many times as well. And I'm just an average player.

Well I play alot of competitive and most of the cheaters only play competitive. And I don't call someone a cheater fast. See my hackers list in the last month: https://vacstat.us/list/12596 all banned. The one that isn't banned is a matter of time a friend spectated him and he was wallhacking, tracing with his crosshair through walls.

Quake Live just try it out it is fast paced and quite interested in if you are into more classic fps mult-iplayer games

Yes, I'm actually thinking of getting KF1 or KF2 to play with friends. Have you played both? Will I miss out on a lot if I just get KF2 and not KF1?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

As of right now, KF1 is better than KF2 (in my opinion) mostly due to the lack of perks and weapons in KF2, but they will come later on before the end of 2015!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Have tried both but do not own 2 and think it would be best to stick to what works with the first and by the time the new perks are added to the second you will have it as well

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You should be able to pick up KF1 for around $4.99 during the Steam Summer Sale soon, which is a great price for the game! And even if you don't like it, Steam has a new return policy (as I'm sure you've all heard), but just in case you haven't: http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds

I own both KF1 and KF2, but currently I'm only playing 1 - not because 2 isn't fun or anything, don't get me wrong. It's fun, and does get the job done, but it's not quite balanced in terms of difficulty yet. I can beat Hell on Earth on KF1, but not Hard on KF2. Also, if you don't have a decent computer, KF1 is probably your best bet.

Hey Zero. Fancy seeing you around these parts. :D

I highly respect your opinion, since you're the biggest KF fan that I know. (I'm surprised to hear that KF2 is missing some perks and weapons. I wonder if that was caused by pressure to meet release dates.)

Hello Kap! I used to just browse the SG forums only, but I've recently started commenting. :D

As much as I love Killing Floor, I (surprisingly?) don't have nearly as many hours as some other people do! Also, KF2 was only about 1 month out in Early Access which considers it as an unfinished game! The devs said (on the store page) exactly this:

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“Until it’s done...
No, we're not kidding. We know we’ve all seen games hit Early Access and seemingly never get to the point of Full Release, but our goal is to have KF2 out before the end of 2015. We have to balance what is in Early Access, then incrementally add more content, re-balance, more content, re-balance, rinse-and-repeat until we have all the content in and balanced.”

I should hang my head in shame. I wasn't planning on getting KF2 anytime soon, so I haven't been following their developments, and didn't even realize that they released it as an Early Access game as opposed to a finished game. :3

While I haven't personally played it to say for sure, that is likely due to it's popular modifications (such as DayZ).

Arma 3 you have to mod heavily to get the most out of it. It's also an open war simulator (when done right). Would you be interested in playing that?

Try insurgency. If you look something less serious than insurgency and, at the same time, a completely different ambient try Team Fortress. If you look realistic games like insurgency but not "actual war", try red orchestra.

Sylvie, why you gotta ask dis question? I love Killing Floor! I have CS:GO, but I just don't like it because the people are just too good on it to the point where I die before I even know what's happening! A good FPS I'm currently enjoying is "Bedlam", but that is single player only. A great multiplayer FPS (besides Killing Floor) would be Payday 2. I love that game, but the only problem I have with it are the amount of DLCs. Talk to me more often; I miss your face! ~Zero <3
