Does anyone else think that this feature would be useful?
It's up to the thread creators to categorize their own threads. Everything in that section is an old thread imported from SGv1 - you can't actually make Uncategorized threads anymore.

Aye, and I already tried to get people to move their threads. :) I had a really good response and had about 1300 threads moved as a result, but a lot of those remaining threads are just obsolete.
I think it would be simpler to just rename Uncategorized as Archived, despite the fact that and Uncategorized category is a lovely oxymoron.

I didn't know that there was a Blacklist/Whitelist indicator script or a blue theme until I luckily saw them while scrolling down the lists of posts. Since the Blacklist/Whitelist script is new to SGv2 then someone that missed seeing it wouldn't know that it even exists to do a search for or know what words or phrase to use in a search unless someone else mentions it in a comment on another thread or in a giveaway. While I at first agreed with adding more categories to clean up the Uncategorized section I now realize that it would be pretty difficult and probably not worth the trouble but my original idea of adding one category for just these add-ons and scripts is still desired by myself and many others.

True. I guess people wouldn't necessarily search for something unless they know it exists or hope it exists, but they may not even give thought to the idea until they see a thread.
I don't think it would hurt to have a Mod/Add-on category, but I think it would get filled with threads of people asking for mods that do "such & such" instead just threads about mods. People already create redundant threads without searching and I think a Mod category would just make a mess.
What this Forum needs is a Thread Nazi to actively move and/or kill threads. Bobofatt does a good job of this as he's trolling around the forums, but his talents are better spent helping people in other ways.

Neither are the "Let's Play Together" or "Group Recruitment" sections, yet they're still there.

YOU are the one who made the argument that number of threads is a valuable metric for determining if a subforum is needed.

They may be two separate issues, but they're intimately related for the purposes of this argument. If the qualification for a new category is high thread count or forum activity in that category, why should this not apply for existing categories? Simply because they already exist?

That's one suggestion I agree with and would love to see this feature implemented.

As the title says. I think that SG++, the Blacklist/Whitelist indicator, SGv2 Dark, Steamgifts v2 dark blue, and any others that I may have missed would be better served by having their own separate Discussion Category. "Userscripts/addons" would be an appropriate title for this new Category. Feel free to comment as to why or why not.
