I used Half-Life 3 in the previous round, it's only a joke for forcing to read the rule even who already own all the games in the list.

I never, ever would've guessed the answer for Q1 was the specific hat the pyro was wearing. That's not really a puzzle. That's more of a mind-reading exercise. Perhaps not using the same video for QA1 and Q1 would've helped, though. Perhaps two identical videos, but only wearing the hat in the second one, that way people have to spot the difference, and then figure out what the hat is. A good puzzle will have a natural sense of flow, guiding one to a solution.
Just some constructive criticism. Thank you for doing these giveaways.

Your criticism is appreciated! I still can't believe it was really that hard though. I think it would have gone differently if the puzzle wasn't tied with the rest of the event, or maybe I could do a few of small changes in the introduction or so... Thank you for the observations.

No problem. Sometimes it can be hard to view something like that objectively. Since you already know the answer, its complicated trying to view it from a fresh perspective. I tried a number of answers, like melee taunt, pyro taunt, the name of a few maps (since its the spawn point), axtinguisher, guitar solo, ax solo, axe solo, etc. Perhaps I'm so used to seeing a crazy amount of hats in TF2 that I don't even notice them anymore.

:( I misread it the first time and didn't realize it was one entry for all giveaways, not one entry per round. I probably would of held off entering the one I did. Thanks anyway for the giveaways, it's very generous of you.

How about making those entry puzzles (except the hard one obviously) very easy by making them simple yes or no questions about the rules. Something like:
Did you enter any of the previous round giveaways?
Have you entered any other giveaway in this round?
Are you aware that by entering a giveaway in this round, you will not be able to enter in future rounds?
Are you aware that if you break the rules, your win will be rerolled if you happen to win any of the giveaways?
And make it very clear that if any of the answers are wrong, they shouldn't enter the giveaway.

Invalid means some people haven't followed his rules and have entered more than 1 of his giveaways. His rules state that you can only enter 1 giveaway in total. And if you entered in a previous round you can't enter into any more giveaways in any rounds that follow.

It's not even pre-purchaseable through steam yet, it'll only come out in august so he isn't able to make a giveaway with that game because steamgifts didn't list it yet as a valid game to giveaway, or it may just be me thinking the wrong

I'm posting today and in the next Fridays a series of private giveaways for forum members. Your SteamGifts account must be at least 3 weeks old and you can enter only one of the giveaways of the list.
There will be more rounds but the special rule applies to all giveaways linked in the thread, you can't enter in one of the giveaways of the first round and later enter again.
You will not know what giveaways will be created and how long this event will last. You can try to guess, though. I don't want set my Steam inventory privacy to private, but you can't be sure all the giveaways will be from the Steam store, or if I buy the game after the giveaway has been closed, or if the giveaway is always from me, or so...
You will have to pick your giveaway wisely, considering what you can win and how many chances you have to win.
This special rule was approved by Support. If you ignore the rule and enter multiple giveaways and win one, I'll request a new winner.
All rounds will start, indicatively, Friday, and end Monday, 19:00 CEST (17:00 GMT, it's the time when the Steam store front page gets updated with the new deals). They can be private giveaways or puzzle giveaways (not hard puzzles, presumably).
Everyone is welcome to enter my giveaways, just make sure you follow the rules.
