So I sent the gift to the winner and he refuses to activate it and it has been 3 days already now. How long should I wait before contacting support. Also I have a feeling that he traded the gift away. :\

Rules state that you must redeem the game you are given.

This. Because why would you enter a game that you don't want while depriving people who actually want a game the chance to win it?

you have to wait for full 7 days. After that submit a ticket at support for a reroll :)

But the problem is that the gift is sitting in the winner's inventory. Can't reroll a gift that's already been given.

Just contact support and ask them that. Also adding the winner on Steam is allowed and is advised in such cases

Winnings must be redeemed on the winning account.
Apart from that , why do you need 7 accounts? xD

I got euhhh...13...thinking of getting another...
I'm a tf2 trading addict, and I just can't bring myself to craft up 2 weapons I might be able to sell for a scrap each, so I store my overstock on side accs XD

And recently I started idling too, but that isn't the reason I get the accounts :)

BTW note of caution; watch out with which account you buy games...I accidentally got a set of games into the inventory of the wrong acc, and steam support would only do either a refund or just leave things as is... (refund wasn't viable as I got the games in awesome discount deals which went away [holiday sales and shizzle])

I accidentally activated skyrim on my girlfriends account because she had logged in without me realizing it. I contacted support, and they repacked it into a gift, which I sent to my own account. Maybe I just got lucky, but for future reference, if you ask them to repack it, they may just do it.

why do people care? really?

You give something away, not yours, im sure we all sold gifts we didin't like in real life.

Because when you BUY a game specifically to GIVE it away, you hope the person who is going to receive it will actually play it. It is disheartening to see someone win your game, then trade it for a meager profit. If they wanted to do that, they should have bought it themselves for trading.

It really just comes down to respect for the giveaway creators. The game could have gone to someone who would actually play it.

So why would someone enter for a game they didn't even like? That's pretty fucked up. "Oh look, here's this thing I don't even want. Let me try to win it instead of letting it go to someone who actually does want it." That's why.

The hope is that the person is gifting it to a friend or saving it for a special occasion? But more then likely trading it. When I won dota 2 I was originally going to give it to a buddy of mine who wanted it, but ultimately I activated it myself.
