Hi everyone, we're testing out some pages for Steam groups. See the below as an example...

http://www.steamgifts.com/group/SJ7Bu/sgifts

The top of the page displays a few general stats for the group.

  • First Giveaway: When the first giveaway for the group was created.
  • Last Giveaway: When the last giveaway for the group ended, or if a giveaway is open.
  • Average Entries: The average number of entries for a giveaway in the group.
  • Contributors: The number of unique users that have contributed one successful gift or more to the group.
  • Winners: The number of unique users that have won a game from the group.
  • Gifts Sent: The number of gifts marked as received from the group, and the corresponding value. If a giveaway is for multiple groups, the value is divided. For example, if I created a $10 giveaway open to users of Group A or Group B, then each group page would show $5 when that gift was received.

The sidebar has four pages, giveaways, users, stats and wishlist.

  • Giveaways: As expected, this lists the giveaways available to the group. They're ordered similar to profiles, with coming soon giveaways first, then open giveaways, then closed giveaways.
  • Users: This page lists SG users that are in the group according to synced data. If a user hasn't synced in the past month, they appear faded out in the list to signify they're inactive. The table shows the gifts sent and received to the group from each user, and it's ordered by the difference between those values. Similar to above, this takes into account giveaways for multiple groups, and if I created a $10 giveaway open to users of Group A or Group B, then I would see $5 as my sent value for each group.
  • Stats: Displays a graph of giveaways created per month by the group.
  • Wishlist: You'll see a list of the top wishlisted games in the group. To improve load times, the results are estimated. The site looks at the last 500 users online in the group, finds their wishlisted games, and extrapolates the results for the entire group. For example, if a group has 5,000 users, and we see our sample group of 500 users have GTA5 wishlisted 8 times, then we assume GTA5 is on 80 wishlists for the entire group.

Hopefully this will allow groups to better manage their users. If you'd like to see any other data, let me know. You'll be able to view the above page for all of your groups in the next day or two.

Edit: Group pages are now setup. You can find the links to them on your account page. Or, if you're viewing a group giveaway, you can access the links there as well.

1) In user profile - show hints for group giveaways, showing what group is it for (the same way as it is now in Won giveaways section).
2) On group page, users profile - ability to see giveaways that user done for this group and the ones he won, not just statistics. Or it is there and I just didn't found it?

The group giveaway page, can you show the giveaway author? Just like how the giveaway list is presented in the main giveaway page.

Hate to be the one to point this out, but on the group page it says 'Conributors' instead of 'Contributors'

Nice feature by the way!

Are you sure you want to use your own URL string based on the name (sgifts), instead of Steam's URL string (steamgifts)? Sounds like a name space collision waiting to happen!

Unless, of course, Steam prevents me from greating a group called "Sgift.s" (which I didn't check)...

Oh well, I see what I didn't see before (b/c I'm blind, of course), the usual 5 letter string. Let me take everything back and praise your genius, cg!

Just today i was considering doing a level restricted group giveaway, however I do not know what level my members are at. It would be nice to have the steam level on the group/users page..
Currently there is a Sent value that lets you estimate level. but due to bundles I'm not sure how well that translates.

Steam Level or Contributor Level?
(I'd vote for both to appear, would be great!)

Added a graph showing the number of group users in each SG level.

That is very useful, thank you!
Is a graph like this available of all users of the (whole) site?
Also, are inactive users filtered out or included?

I updated the graph to show the total number of users, and the active users for comparison as well. To be considered an active user, they need to have synced in the past week.

We'll have a similar graph for the entire site in the future, when I start working on global and individual user stats.

One thing that can be added to the "nice-to-have" list.

Let each group have a blacklist, and allow group admin/moderators to add user into the black list.

How's this thing going?
I can't find a way to see group pages - someone tell me I'm just not looking in the right place :)
