He also said he won it on a different site. You must have missed that.

Heh heh, sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the tips anyways! Besides, I don't know how you'd be able to enter a giveaway for a game you already have. They all say "Already has game" or something like that on it.

some games allow you to enter (especially DLCs and allking of bundles, complete packs, GOTY versions and so on - generally GiveAways that consist of more than one actual steam game / dlc ;P). Also if you have the game, but didn't sync account after adding it to your steam lib you may still enter :>

Oh, yeah, GameMiner lets you enter giveaways of games you already have! Good if you want to share your love of a game with your buddies.

It's a nice site yea, sometimes I even have some fun on the forums when I'm not crying in the corner because my estimated win grow by a whole number again, while my win counter is still at 1 :P

Darn! No offense, but I really hope I don't follow in your footsteps, heh heh. Do you at least enjoy the one game you won?

SG is the only enjoyable site with giveaways because it has an awesome community.

I saw that. I actually stopped right there and went to the comments looking to see how many internet cops were jumping all over it. Surprise, no "Enjoy your ban" comments, not that anyone can PROVE the game he got wasn't the one installed on OPs account ;)

I think I can finally understand the appeal of gambling now. You face failure over and over again, but when you finally win that prize, it's so good.
Even beyond the possibility of free games, I think the potential of finally winning a giveaway after losing so many others (and I know, I know I personally haven't entered that many give-aways and my estimated wins is super-low) is really what keeps me going with this. I've only one won game (that I already had, I entered the giveaway for a friend) so far, and that wasn't even on this site - but the rush from having been lucky enough to be selected was absolutely fantastic. I know that I have a back-log of games and others that I could be 100% instead of checking this site every so often and trying to solve these puzzles in order to access some give-away with slightly better chances of winning than normal, but it's just that trying to work the give-away system to the best of my ability and analyzing all the potential places to put my points into for what could actually pan out/what I actually want has sort-of become like it's own game for me. In addition, the completion of puzzles feels both challenging and rewarding.
So, what do you guys and gals think? Do you actually see this site as a fun diversion too?
