After how much try did you won your first GA?

I've had my first win after ~300 entries - but that was 3 years ago, when the site had a lot less users and you needed an invitation code to even join.

anyway, random is random - you could win on your first entry or you could even never win.

406 try - 0 won ;)

i was at around 200 tries i think, though that was pretty sheer luck.

However, the amount of entries have been reset recently, so it's unreliable. Most of the people who have been here a long time bragged about stats around 5000-10000 entries for 20-50 wins. Again, this is pure luck, and you could have 100.000 entries before winning anything, or you could win your next one.

If you want to boost your chances, follow the forum and follow the puzzle and private giveaways that are posted here. Those usually have lower amounts of entries, heightening your odds somewhat.

looking at GA entries is useless now coz of the reset..

u might want to join these kind of EVENTS coz all/most of them are private and only forum ppl will know :)

2 wins in the first 70.. nothing after

I won my first game at around 1,300 then won again the day after my initial win after then nothing since, and now its all been reset, so I expect to win in another 1000 or so entries (i'm not very lucky)

Well, the giveaways entered counter got reset to zero a while back after the database crash.

I can tell you that it took me somewhere around 1500 entries, then I won my first. I won a second probably around 2000.

I was really lucky back then. Got my first win at the second giveaway I entered.

Way over a 1000 and only won a reaaaaaally old game without many entering for it.

I've seen people win after entering just 2 giveaways. I've also seen people who have entered over 4700 giveaways without 1 win.

I got my first win at just under 800 giveaways entered. You are neither lucky or unlucky. Once you hit maybe 2000 giveaways entered without a win, then you might consider yourself a little unlucky. Once you hit 3500 giveaways entered without a win, you can consider yourself pretty unlucky. Once you hit over 50000 giveaways entered without a win, you can consider yourself very unlucky.

Also don't go by the amount of giveaways entered for people who have low entered but high number of wins, there was a database issues which killed the actual number of giveaways entered for most people. I was at over 14000 entered.

I have 3 entries and 17 wins, I won my first 5 around 0 entries mark

Can't remember for sure, but it was some 3 months after i joined SG. Won Men of War: Condemned Heroes. Never received it.

took me around almost 3000 entries to get my first win. and i won only because it was an unlucky giveaway (means there was only like 15-20 entries on that giveaway).

I'm a few hundred entries (about 200 since the reset) and still 0 wins. I've only been around for a couple of months though.

I don't know if the wins are weighted in favour of heavy commenters, people who have also given a lot away or if the randomiser is just broken. Because there seem to be a lot of very "lucky" people who win frequently with very few entries, compared to the number of people with thousands of entries and no wins. Seems a bit weird.

Most people win a giveaway by 3000 entries. Some win before that, a few win after that. You have 2876 more entries to go before you're considered "unlucky."
