Took a while for me to figure it all out, but basically anyone who clicks the G2A advertisement in the sgtool link and makes a purchase, earns the creator of sgtool some money. That's quite devious, it makes sense to hide the referral since most people wouldn't be to pleased to know that someone else is making money of their purchases.

I've come to realize many forum users tend to portray themselves better than they really are. It's my personal opinion that over 90% use the site to make money by card farming and collecting games so they can get more booster packs to sell. It's why I'm reluctant to give away better quality, unbundled games.

Did you contact support about this? Well thanks for educating me, I'll make sure to stay away from using sgtools and avoid clicking the G2A/Kinguin links within them.

yes, most people are here to make profits, it's pretty sad. even high lv users that enter everything, they idle their wins.

it makes me angry when i see someone like knsys, who was supposed to be the ultimate enforcer of rules, breaking a damn stupid rule just to get a few cents.

not only he's breaking a rule, the worst part is he hides the ref links... I don't know what can be done in a situation like this, exploiting users, cg and sg.
and since i have lost all trust in sg and expect nothing but disappointment, i bet he will get away with this. maybe a request from support to remove the links, or 2 days of suspension...

i contacted support and i bet more people already did, but i got no response in a week so far.

I feel the same as you, it saddens me to see what people will do for a little bit of money. But I've accepted that people mostly look out for their own self-interest, but I prefer to focus on the positive and see the few people that are good, generous, kind and honest and realize I don't have to hold the same values as people focused on money and getting ahead.

It surely is disappointing to see this kind of behavior from such a member. I don't think it's worth being angry over though, since anger can be a pretty destructive emotion if there's not much you can do about the situation. I think you are only making yourself feel bad by holding onto anger, it doesn't help you be happier. But that's just my opinion though, you're allowed to feel whatever you want to feel.

In theory you could keep reporting him and getting him suspended 2 days over and over again as long as he doesn't remove the referral links. I was thinking you might be able to make a post about it, but I don't know if that counts as calling out. It doesn't really help that the support team seems to be heavily understaffed and sgtools is a very popular tool. We can only hope justice is served at some point and keep informing others. Whatever happens I hope you feel better, you never know what the future brings.

It may be a dumb picture, but I find the message to be a really helpful thought in my life.
