Description

Giving away one of my all time favorite games, Mass Effect. Although I consider this one the worst of the trilogy, I think it's still worth playing through multiple times. The story in this game (and the series as a whole) is seriously amazing, and the world is intriguing. Enjoy it.

Thanks for the chance!

THIS is the worst? Have you played 3 haha? But seriously I liked the feeling in this more than the 2nd, better characters for the most part too. The only thing 2 did better was the combat.

Yeah, I played the 3. I found sequels more enjoyable and engaging than 1, but regardless, I still love 1 to death and will keep playing it, especially now that I got Bring Down The Sky to work. I only heard great things about it, so maybe it will change my mind on my ranking of the trilogy.

Well imo the 3'rd was also better than 1, gameplay wise. Though the 1 had a "better story" even if it's the "same story" if you know what i mean. Thanks for this opportunity Azarod9 !

They're both better in terms of combat, but are we really gonna pretend the story wasn't awful in the 3rd? I didn't even think it was possible to like the 3rd more than the original. Everything besides the combat is superior in the 1st.

I don't really think the story for 3 was awful, at least for the most part in the base game, but it was pretty lackluster. The DLCs, however, those have awful stories. Leviathan felt extremely unnecessary and I wanted to kill myself halfway through Omega.

3 has a lot of issues, besides the obvious hilariously bad magical colored lights, it downplayed everything you've done all series. For example they made a big deal about the bug queen (forgot the species name lol, my memory sucks) and in the end all it amounted to was a tiny bit of galactic readiness. Speaking of which, once you had the 30% minimum you could finish the game with the same results as going 100% which is ridiculous. And to make matters worse they completely abandoned the actual planned storyline which involved some sort of dark matter or whatever (remember the quickly dying sun that Tallis was investigating? That was main story stuff never to be heard from again because they ditched it). So much for the famed continuity. Ultimately the 3rd ended up leaving a bad after taste for a lot of fans, most likely because they changed the writer of the first 2 with some other guy. I can only wonder what game we would have gotten with the same writer on board.

Well i didin't really pay attention to the MAIN story in the 3'rd besides the cutscenes etc, so about that dying star i had no idea :O But yeah 3'rd had worst story quests... quests in general in which some cases made no sense imo. 2'nd was best imo with both gameplay and story and the 1'st had A-OK gameplay but a good story! Though i think i didin't play alot of the DLC's in all of the games. I kinda went the route of: "i'll do some sidequests here and there when i feel like it but mainly the story quests". Sadly i rushed through the 1 :/ And i'm the kind of guy to play through a game once and never again.

Not really related but a recently game i played that gave me the "feel" of Mass Effect series was Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen. You guys should check it out! :)

No idea why you'd like the heartbreakingly poor 3rd over this but to each their own I guess. And tnx for the game.

Weird. I thought I had ME1. Apparently I've only got ME 2 on Steam :/
Edit: Not entering after all, hopefully someone new to the franchise wins

Well, in my opinion #1 is better in mechanics but #2 is quite good in plot... #3 is somewhere between. Thank you for lovely giveaway :)
