I loved this serie, many years ago, as a kid on real paper books. Please don't enter if you have no intent of giving it a try !

On real paper books! Wow. I didn't even know that's where the games originated, to be honest, but that sounds awesome. Thanks for the chance!

In the 80's, I was a fantasy-loving kid. I was lucky with parents buying me many gamebooks like the Sorcery! serie (they were only books, not specially expensive). Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone were my favorite writers at this time :)
You had to play with a paper pen and rubber for the character sheet, and dice at some parts, including fights. I was more interested in scenario so after a few books I decided to drop everything but the books and consider myself lucky at each dice roll. No need to download a trainer at this time :-D

Hi! I just won Sorcery 4 a few hours ago (yay!), but gifter have not played these games yet. Would you reccomend to play them in order, or can they be played individually without relation? (and about gamebooks - Lone Wolf was my favorite, SO many options! But unfortunately they were too difficult to get in shops in my youth. Still pending to get to play the web-based whole saga, but I shiver just thinking how many hours I will sink there...)

It's better to play in order as you can import your saved game from earlier games (that was Sorcery 1 and 2). Haven't played 3 yet.

Thanks for the info!

Hi,as Pikachu01 has said, it's better to play in order. I have yet to play the video games, but I have some memories of the books: choices made at some point can impact your options later (= in another book) in the story. And, of course, it's a whole story, so..
I remember Lone Wolf, yes, I read / played most of the serie :) It was damn good. Another one I loved was the GrailQuest serie, with much laughs and absurdity in it, a mix between Monty Python and dark fantasy.

Thanks, Saint. I will seek them out later and find out if there is some bundle to get them all.
