Hello P1T3R. Please make sure you take a moment and read the FAQ and Guidelines if you haven't already.
The reason I'm posting is there's been a decent amount of giveaways that were incorrect concerning this game. There's 2 version for this game. You have the version that is currently on the Steam store and what this giveaway is for and then there's Pirates of Black Cove Gold which was released in 2012 and is constantly being given away for free. While nothing is wrong with giving away games that are free on Steamgifts the giveaway has to match what's actually being given in the giveaway title. If this is for the Gold version you would want to delete this giveaway.
If it's the gold version it will state Pirates of Black Cove Gold when the winner activates the key. If it turns out to be the gold version the winner should not mark it as received to prevent any rule violations and suspension.

You got a key from dlh.net? Then its definitely just the Gold edition.

There is just one source for this game and that is dlh.net. You can only get the gold edition throught dlh or the normal edition on steam because there are no keys for the normal editon.

Hey I won the key and activated and I think it might be the gold version not linking to the steam store...Do I not mark as recieved then.... (can check my list of games and double check)

Hi Tuttlebird, yeah it's the gold version. You would mark it as not received. What would happen if you marked it as received is SGTools would of shown it as you didn't activate your win and you could face suspension. I keep an eye out for this game specifically cause this happens so much.
You should always check to make sure your wins lead from the giveaway to exactly what's in your library, if not mark not received. Communication is also important in these types of issues and you should also comment on the giveaway and let the giveaway creator know if something is wrong. And you can always contact support if you need help, we are here for you guys. I want to welcome you to SG, sorry that this situation is one of the first you are dealing with.
EDIT: I was made aware that this game isn't in SGTools database so this particular case couldn't be checked by that tool, but a manual check for this game would show it's not in the library and as suspension could be delivered.

Thats bs. This game is not even listed on SGtools so it will not show anything. Even he mark it as received, his account will stay in a positive feedback on sgtools.

I wasn't aware that the game wasn't listed in SGTools. Obviously if that's the case then that couldn't happen. A manual check would show that the regular version is not in the steam library though and a suspension can still be delivered.

There is nothing that can be a version of gold because it has in no place a reference on it. You can send the keys to other games and download your rights. It's up to you

I'm not sure where you got the key from and whether they decided to mark it as Pirates of Black Cove Gold or not but when you activate the game on steam it tells you it's the gold version. The gold version from 2012 isn't the same version of the game listed in the giveaway title. So yes the winner would mark this as not received since this isn't the correct game listing.
