The fuel in Mad Max was pretty efficient to start with. I just playing the game again for the first time in a couple of days and all of a sudden the fuel is being used like there's no tomorrow. I manage to get a full tank and then drive down the road and round a bend and run out again before I even get a chance to even think about looking for more fuel. Is this something they've changed or what's going on?

Never heard of that before, but if you use the cars fire attack upgrade on enemies it eats your fuel like crazy

I think the game scales fuel usage at different times; sometimes I noticed that I started to run on fumes after very little time (three or four minutes, even?), and other times I was cruising forever (okay, more like 15 minutes) with no need for a top up. I think in story missions they reduce fuel usage, but I think there are times that fuel burns faster- they may have re-balanced in a patch though.

I don't have the flamer upgrade yet and I'm only getting about a minute drive before I run out of fuel with a full tank.
