So, have you started your log for piloting hours? Usually pretty steep requirements; last time I checked with a SFAC pilot, needed at least 1000 hours or so, but that's in my area of the world. Could be different... everywhere else. Fun fact: my grandfather was a private prop pilot.

45 hours and you are allowed to fly solo in a private plane? Wow. That's insane. But yes, the training/gas/rentals are super pricey; that's why you always go halfsy with someone else... say, like a certain feline royal?
