First time giving away a gift, and I might have missed something in the FAQ. I found my winner, and the gift copy I have is in my steam inventory. As such, I can only give it away to friends or email addresses. So I friended my winner, who is said to be online, and am waiting for him to accept. A: is their some kind of time limit for me getting the gift to him/him receiving the gift, and B: If he doesn't friend me back, what are my options?

I really should know this, but any helpful feedback would be awesome!

You have a week to get it to them. Check the FAQ and the Guidelines, "If I win a gift, when can I expect to receive it?"
You can send the gift through e-mail without adding them. If you sent the gift to the correct address and after a week they have not marked it as received you can contact support and maybe request a re-roll.

Ahh, I just made an outstanding discovery. Everyone needs a legit email to use this website, and it actually DOES show their email on their little profile when I click on their name in the winner section. So, I just did that. But thx!

You must employ the power of F5. Focus your energy, and mash that button.

Was about to edit my post adding info regarding that, and I did. To clarify, this website does not require an e-mail address, it is optional.

Ah, really? Well then, what do I do if they won't friend me and they don't have an email?

Read my post again or the comments below, you need to send the gift but they also need to accept it, if they do not in the allowed timeframe then you can contact support and they may give you the option to re-roll the winner.

It doesn't? Is that something new because I was under the impression that it was always mandatory.

I am under the impression it is optional, but now that you put it in doubt I am not certain, it's been a while since I registered. In any case the site uses Steam OpenID for registration and log-in, so an e-mail address would not be mandatory as per how it operates, but rather an option for gift delivery. If you use the trading part of the site only the e-mail setting has no use either.

A. 7 days
B. The website should show you the email address of the winner and you can send the gift that way.

EDIT: 56 seconds late... glad you figured it out!

It seems you figured most of this out already, also note, there in no iron clad time limit for anything here, If it takes month to contact the winner, and you chose to do that, you can, that said, if your winner doesn't activate his gift in a week, you are free to request a new winner.

btw, if you try to contact him and no reply for a while (7+ days) you can ask for a reroll from support, on the grounds that the winner rejected the gift.
you need proof of trying to contact him. picture proof
