This game is amazing! But yeah, the price is a bit high.

ive played the new alpha 10

and its no where near worth the price they have on it

there are bugs in the game that get annoying
when u tell a prisoner to move a prison guard comes but wont move em

when there is sounds on the game they get stuck and keep repeating
and some of the game isnt even implemented yet

i feel i finnished playing the game after 3 hours or so

I have played the game. It has its issues because of it being in alpha. But I do think its worth the $30. If you dont like bird eye view indie games, then dont buy it. Its also like an RTS game as well.

I've played the alpha via nefarious means, and from what I played it looks to be an interesting game. That being said, to me personally it's not worth the price tag when you pit it against other games in this genre that offer the same amount of game play or more, for much less money.

iv'e been watching generikb on youtube playing it, looks fun honestly

I just picked the game up for my birthday after watching generikb's LP for a while. It's definitely a fun game so far; however, alpha 10 is riddled with many annoying bugs as mentioned earlier in this thread. I'd caution against picking it up at the current price.

I bought it a few weeks ago, and it is a great game. I hear that alpha 10 is unplayable, due to lag. But that will most likely be fixed in the next build, and the game gets updated roughly every week.

I recommend the game. I know the price is a bit steep, but it is dead worth it.

Want it but 30$ is huge price

I've played the alpha and it's very fun. I think the $30 price point is a bit steep for alpha funding, though. The end result I can tell will definitely be worth your money.

The explanation for the high price:

PCG: Isn’t $30 a little higher than normal for alpha or beta access?

MM: There are a couple of reasons for that. We’ve got a pretty close relationship with the Humble Bundle guys, and we were talking to them a lot about how they do things. Another is that we’re more interested in a smaller number of players that are more engaged in what we’re doing, than a huge audience that want to pay less. There’s a quality bar we’re putting in there.

Imagine the [alpha] went on sale for $10. This is all “ifs”, right? But imagine it goes on sale for $10 or $20, and people chose to buy it, and it doesn’t work for them, and they say, “This is bollocks. I hate this. It’s crap. It’s broken. It doesn’t work.”

TL;DR: if you only want to play the game because it looks cool, you should probably wait until it's officially released.

Price is high but devs said that they will reduce the price when the game releases.They dont want whiners when they are trying to develop the game so they keep the high price for people that want to be involved with developement of the game.Game is a lot of fun.But because its alpha it has missing features such as execution , no way to remove dead bodies , lawyer doesnt work properly , workshop(not steam workshop, the in game workshop room) need more work and bugs and crashes.They released a new version and it has steam workshop integration so people can check each others prison.

I would say if you like management simulation games such as this you should get it asap.
