rodro's faves september - Sonic Mega Drive train (lvl 2, now train W/O puzzle)

I recently grabbed a few Steam keys from a pick&mix Bundle Stars of old Genesis/MegaDrive games. Back in the day I played some of them but not on a console: my family owned an Amstrad MegaPC, which let you switch the floppy disk slot for MSDOS to a MegaDrive cartridge slot. I abandoned my old NES for a while, and along my brother got some games like the Sonic franchise. We also used to trade cartridges (temporarily) with friends and neighbours, that way we managed to play more different titles. Later we got other consoles from Nintendo, but the good old MegaPC kept us entertained for many years in the 90s.

So in order to jump on board this Sonic MD train, you'll have to recognize a few pixelated characters from the 20th century. I'll be posting a link to the puzzle in less than an hour, at 16:00 London time. There might be a small bonus for the quickest to solve it
