What CPU you got? My AMD 645 does alright with the 750ti...I even overclocked it and it gave a bit more FPS in some games so I know I am not being bottlenecked.
I find its always better to buy parts separate personally...

I don't know about that one but....
It doesn't seem THAT bad, personally if I was you I would get the 750ti, see how it works and if you feel like the performance is not up to par get the new CPU.

Don't know much about Motherboards, sorry. But the AMD processor is slightly better than that i3.
You should be able to play with those low/middle settings on either, as long as you have a processor, RAM and GPU that aren't older than most CoD players.
You can always try to OC your Nvidia card using Precisión X, so it shouldn't be a problem to play games to come in 5-7 years in mod to low settings.

The gTX 750 Ti I'm looking at is SC, but not OC :(

My Nvidia GTX 760 is a SC, but I am still able to OC it a bit with this software.

That's the exact card I was going to get, and how did you overclock it. It seem's that ur AMD processor is better than mine by a bit.

Download Precision X and up it until it seems stable, some do better then others, your CPU should not have any issues with overclocking a card. Run Unigine Heaven(free program) and make sure it can run for a while without any graphic glitches. If I go beyond what I have it on now I get pretty purple triangles and then my driver stops working and resets :-D! You might get better or worse results.
Good thing about EVGA is that you can overclock without worrying since they cover that if you fry it, make sure to register the warranty, comes with a 3 year.
I have this card in a pre-built with almost no fans and running on a 250 watt power supply and it stays cool, really good card.

250w psu? How? Doesn't the GTX 750 Ti need a 300w? By the way, how does overclocking work, when the card is superclocked?

Hmm, ok. Well Aloxx, if you were me, what would you do?
Comment has been collapsed.
If I were Aloxx, and Aloxx were you, I'd say buy the GPU, try it out. If it doesn't perform well, go for the motherboard+RAM+processor

Idk. Not sure how much the 750 Ti would actually be bottlenecked. It's not very high on the performance scale.
FX-6300 would probably be better long term, especially if its overclocked. Dual core Haswell would be better for most games now and older games though.
Oh, if you upgrade to the AMD bundle though, it has a fairly weak integrated graphics.

Your cpu has 3 cores and a very low frequency so it is quite weak for games but you dont need to change your whole system. You can change only your cpu with an AMD Athlon II X4 651 which should be more than enough for games and with the 200$ you save you can buy an even better gpu and/or ram.

I have the exact AMD CPU + MOBO combo except the RAM. The FX-6300 is pretty easy to overclock with that board given you have sufficient cooling. I have mine set at 4.2GHz on all 6 cores(not turbo) on air cooling itself. If you are not much into overclocking get the i3 combo. Also, I suggest some other RAM like Corsair Vengeance or Kingston HyperX.

Is the i3 any good though, for the recent games? and will my unknown ram work with another known company ram?

Both the combos are just fine, but the AMD is unlocked so you do have the option to overclock it. What "unknown" RAM do you have ? I suggest you DO NOT use whatever you have and get a single stick of 8gig RAM so you can put in another 8gig in future, if you decide to upgrade.

All I know is that it's a 4GB stick, but no idea what the manufacturer is.

It will work regardless of company (as long as it's DDR3). It'll work better with both modules (sticks) being the same size (datawise) and supporting the motherboard's or cpu's max RAM-frequency rating. Ideally you'd have identical sticks (since you'll know they'll have the same timing-ratings etc.). Naturally, a quality company stick is less likely to fail (yet to see a failing RAM after the SD-RAM days myself though) and endures OC better.

+1 for Corsair RAM, as long as it's not Value Select lol (made that mistake once when I first started out on PCs, oh, what a fun time I had), Dominator or Vengeance, either are solid choices, if the budget allows

I'd say: either buy the graphics card now and CPU at some later date, of just go for the vanilla 750 (not Ti). If the new card will improve your game fps to a playable level, what do you care if the CPU is a bottleneck? One component will always bottleneck the other, and I see no particular reason to insist that the graphics card will be the bottleneck.

How much of a performance would I lose if I just bought the vanilla 750?
Comment has been collapsed.
That depends on how much of a bottleneck your CPU is. If it is, then possibly not difference. If it isn't, then for vanilla 750 and 750 Ti it's 10-20% from the reviews I've read. Overclocked 750 vs. stock Ti can be around the same speed.
I'd suggest reading reviews of the 750 to decide if the frame rate is good enough for you.

Well, to be honest, a 750 would do just fine. I just need some sort of a gaming card, that doesnt use alot of power. My processor is a AMD A6-3500

Like the title says.
I was aiming for a GTX 750 Ti, but apparently, if I get it, it will bottle neck with my CPU.
So, while I figure out a new CPU, how would an Upgrade Kit sound?
Here is some that I have found.

Bare with me, that I sort of have a low budget at the moment.
Be honest, if these are any good to play recent games on low - mid settings.
