Does Valve ever remove games from their system? I've wondered this as well as my count has gone backwards before. I've also wondered if sometimes it's the DLC being lumped into the regular game as a single install rather than showing separately and counting as two games. This would make it appear like we're "losing" games when, in fact, we aren't.

DLC is now counted separately from games, so that wouldn't affect it.
And there have been instances of DLC being lumped into the game but the DLC stays in the DLC list if you already own it.
Sanctum had some DLC that were included in the main game later on. I still have them listed separate though.

Maybe some free weekend game from about 2 weeks ago just disappeared from 'recently played' or sth.
