When I tried the EA app 2 weeks ago I ran into the problem that 3 games were missing.
Populous (which was given a few years ago by Humble Bundle) did not show up after the migration.

Anyone else had this problem and know a solution?
I tried reaching out to EA but got no assistance.

Furthermore the Epic Games handed out games were missing.

I haven't noticed any losses and my Populous is still in the library. The free games from Prime also are still there.

Sure it is faster than Origin, better lookin, but it is not complete, for starters it doesnt have Offline Mode, which is a huge issue.

Have you used the EA app?

No I haven't but I meant no difference in the sense that he'll still have to keep an extra launcher installed. I'm sure the app themselves are different from one another.

Ah okay, yeah in that sense it would be the same.

The Origin client and store are both shutting down so the switch has to happen. From my understanding it's much easier to work with the EA app as far a development goes than Origin was, so that's a plus. Hopefully if there's any issues they'll be able to fix them pretty quickly.

I think EA pushed the new app out of beta sooner than it should have, origin.com offered things that hasn't yet been implemented into the new system (like profiles and wishlists) .. also many users to this day still report messing games they own on Origin not showing up on EA app

I will keep using Origin till they kill its connection to their servers

I try to not buy games which requires a third party DRM. They're always prone to trouble.

I completely forgot I owned some CnC games there, damn.

I have installed the new client. I don't like the library view, you can't make the thumbnails smaller and you can't set a list view instead of the thumbnails.

EA's app is still missing Battlefront 2 for me but everything else carried over. I don't use Origin for very much but i dont want to lose what I have it in either. EA's not known for being the most consumer friendly with their stuff ....

They're doing a bang-up job of it so far.

The EA App update completely broke NFS Most Wanted (2012). The game won't start anymore and just goes to a black screen with an infinite loading wheel. I've heard rumors of other games being broken by the switch from Origin as well.
