It's just a well known bug/feature of unicode, basically there's no hard limit to how many diacritics you can add to a letter, so you can just pile them until it becomes a complete visual mess. Browser renderers attempt to cope with it the best they can, the fact that it isn't breaking the CSS style configs is a little miracle, but there's only so much you can do while still complying with unicode.

One way to limit the damage of such Zalgo text without actually stripping user input is to apply a simple CSS rule to comment DIVs:
.comment__display-state {
overflow: hidden;
}Now all those crazy diacritics are contained in their box without polluting the view on other comments.
PS: anyone can inject this CSS rule using a userstyles browser extension.

If those things were to show here en masse, as they do on some forums, I would see them as vandalism and I would hope, that mods treat them as spam, but sure it would be much easier and less controversial to have just the above CSS rule included in the code, so thx for reacting :)
