Skyrim is overrated. Sure it's fun, exploring 'n shit, but combat is just.. meh.. left click left click 'n that's it.
Witcher on other hand, has great combat, better graphics, better choices/consequences and stuff.. it's quite short if you don't do sidequests tho and it's not that much explorable.

There's some pretty great mods which can fix that, AI will fight tactically and as a team, as well and making timing paramount. See 'duel combat realism'.

The problem with that is that you shouldn't need to mod a game to make it as enjoyable as it should have been in the first place.

Modding game ain't a problem, it's not that hard, some people like skyrim as it is, some don't. It's better to have more options.
It's just that combat is still the same, you still just bash left click and that's it, doesn't matter that AI is smarter, that means that you'll run back a bit more, drink 3x as much potions and that's it.

My friend bought it for $7.49 on one of the sales and it runs with too much lag on his PC, but he still thinks it was worth it. xD
