If you could pick any one of these games, which would you pick?
+1 to this.
Having to update a script, then watch somewhere to join a room just to have a chance to complete a badge and "the game" was absurd.
Thanks for this post Chack.

I guess that depends on your definition of complete. Ya, to get to level cap of 100m you needed to be vigilent, to get to 300k to get the highest level image for the badge, not nearly so much, and to get the xp cap from the badge you only needed to get to level 500 I think which you could do solo.

I randomly clicked one that I didn't own yet because science.

M&B Warband had a good discount in my opinion, I'd have voted for Dishonored if the GOTY had -75% discount.

Monster game was a buggy pile of derp.
I don't mind the idea of doing something other than straight-up voting, but next time I hope they do something that's not completely broken.
In terms of deals, I had a large haul this year, mostly because I refused to pay more than 5 euros on a single game.
Limiting myself to that did mean I had to skip Dishonored though. Could have gotten the base game, but Bethesda's DLC pricing still being completely weird/stupidly expensive compared to getting the GotY edition.
Oh well, guess I have something to look out for during the next winter sale :)

Even though I own it already, Garrys Mod's price was not at low as usual throughout I noticed!

I think this should be included into pool http://store.steampowered.com/app/294860/

Why? That is not even a question. :) One of the best turn-based games. Goes cheaper that dirt and you ask 'why'?
I have wasted 500 + hours on this game on PS

Thing is - many deals were worse than midweek/weekend deals we had during last half-a-year. And lots of games are still with same prices they were since 2014 (maybe even 2013).
It wasn't BAD. If it were bad, I wouldn't spend $130 (thank you, CSGO). But lots of games were disappointing (South Park still didn't get to console $5 price, like they once sold it there) And I'm kinda grrrr that cards again were useless. After winter sale kinda hoped they will make crafting them worthwhile, but nope.

There were also a number of games featured on the front page with no added discount. CS:GO, ARK, and Stranded Deep come to mind, though one I didn't see anyone talking about was DiRT. The DiRT "Franchise sale" was a 5% discount added to DiRT 3, with no added discount to the other DiRT games. May as well have put up DiRT 3 and called it a day because the franchise was not on (added) sale. The sales themselves weren't even particularly terrible, all things considered, but putting up games on the front page without the requisite promotional pricing is a mistake.

Wish the game did drops better, never got more than 2 cards a day. Also some of the prices were super weird (Total War and Garry's Mod I'm looking at you). Also some daily deals not actually being daily deals was annoying. I understand why CSGO isn't going lower cause smurfs but hey.
Lots of positives though, the monster game was an interesting way to do community stuff even if we lost interest near the end. Also Isaac was $7.50. Castle Crashers and Battleblock were welcome discounts too. You get a badge just for participating in the game too.

Someone recommended me to contribute to this thread, B1.
I have Steam and my current PC for 3 months now and it was my first Summer Sale. I have a lot of games I need to catch up on especially because I haven't been playing videogames for a long while before I got this PC. While a lot of people complained about the sales being repetitive I was able to grab everything I missed out on. Well, not everything but some of it for pretty decent prices!
And of course I could grab some good games for Steamgifts.
The sale itself as a marketing strategy and the clicker game are a different issue, but I shove my money up Gaben's ass anyways.
TL;DR Nope, the sale wasn't bad.

Ahhh, all the games I wanted to buy but couldn't afford to spend on! :D

Also, Dishonored was my best purchase, probably. I didn't buy many games, but Dishonored was still a definitive good purchase.

I was pretty tempted too.. is it worth? I keep hearing contrastant opinions.. the artwork seems amazing but I don't want it only for that. Also, there's the Uplay DRM, is that a problem?
in the end I bought Stanley Parable with that money but I could manage to grab a copy via Tremor..

Well, I am playing it and for now Uplay is not causing problems (you have to wait more time until the game opens but that's all). All the game texts are written in verse, the combat system is original, you can choose with what characters you want to fight and each character has different abilities, there are secrets if you like exploring, there are some puzzles but they are very easy.

I must say, I don't understand all the hate against the Steam sale. Sure, there weren't many price glitches, and after all, 95 off is the best percentage (after 96, of course, I get that...), but there have still been some nice deals.
Anyways, which of these games do you think performed best in this year's summer sale? And like all school-work, please elaborate on your answers :)

EDIT: People complained there were no Despair included - but it's my poll, so I get to decide what goes in.
Have a giveaway though: Despair
