Simple - If the creator wants to give you your game, let him do so. If they continue to fail to deliver, keep it as "not received".
What I'm saying is, sure there was a misunderstanding when you ignored his friend request. No one is to blame here, so just add him again and the issue will be resolved. :P

You are an asshole if you ignore him and refuse the game. There are plenty of reasons why he couldn't give you the game until now. He could have family issue, no internet for weeks, someone died and he needed to cope with it.. etc etc. Don't be an asshole, take the game.
