There are bundles where you can't use a coupon, but are you sure that it were the BYOB's? I am very sure that I bought them using a coupon - and not just since yesterday.

He is correct -- BYOBs used to be excluded from coupons. See example below, from November 2021.
It seems they removed that restriction in December 2021.
