It seems like posting in the Crowdfunding thread isn't enough anymore these days ... So I'll just make a new thread, and lure you in with giveaways! :D
I was made aware of this campaign yesterday (by one of my favorite rappers, nbd) and just watching the first minute of their presentation I fell in love with it. I immediately came here to share it in the aforementioned crowdfunding thread, then watched the rest of the video - and was blown away by how much work and love they've put into it! I'm a supporter now, and actually thinking about upping my support to a higher tier ...
Let me know in the thread what you thought of their concept so far! :D

About the game:

  • Point & Click adventure
  • really cute
  • will have minigames, and I guess puzzly stuff?
  • coming to Steam + DRM-free (and also other platforms)
  • so far only Windows, but they're not ruling out Mac + Linux Mac + Linux confirmed!
  • needs support on Kickstarter

Yeah, okay, I said giveaways ...
Team Indie L0+
Brigador: Up-Armored Edition L1+
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation L1+

SimplePlanes L1+
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter L2+

All GAs run until the last day of the kickstarter campaign; I'll probably add one or two more when the new Humble Monthly is out tomorrow.

More updates, here's the most exciting one, especially if you're still undecided about backing:

We will be live-streaming pre-alpha gameplay next Wednesday on Kickstarter Live, acting out the dialogue lines!
The Event will be accompanied by a Q&A, live sculpting by the game's art director Ole Tillmann, and live music by Sascha Haus.
Here is the link to the stream: http://bit.ly/2sZeMug
Following the event, we are also going to release a new Teaser!

I had a look to the Kickstarter, it looks interesting. I'm broke after the sale, but here's a bump :)

Is that bad? Are all PS2 games bad? No PS2 ports for you then :P
btw your comment looks like something made before watching the whole trailer ... it's okay if it's not your thing, but I don't think it' looks that old at all. (if "old" is what you were trying to say, as in technically less advanced than it should be)

I wonder what this reply was ...

Edit: Interesting, just found out the original commenter blacklisted me for that, nice, and not cowardly at all :/

Don't stress, the new system means they can't enter your giveaways either. Blacklists are automatically mutual. It's for the best that petty people disclude themselves from extra giveaways, heh.

Oh, it's fine, it's actually someone who had me blacklisted for a long time, I asked them about it a few weeks (months?) ago and they said they didn't know why and removed the blacklist. I guess me replying to their critical comments was enough. I still think it's kind of funny that they blacklisted me for my opinion and deleted theirs, presumably to shield themselves from blacklists/more backlash (since everyone else so far does actually seem to like it)

It just seems weird given your replies are far from provocative. People really confuse me sometimes.

Well, to be fair I did make fun of the reply a little bit (worded my reply like theirs, which was something like "it looks like something made for PS2") - but I also didn't get that criticism, unless you really only watched the first few seconds of the video.

You don't even see some of the stuff Support has to sort through. Human behavior is quite often irrational.

I agree, though. Nelly's replies were quite civil.

A creepy looking guy called Halibut in this game
A nerdy looking guy in this game
A hobo in this game

I feel offended, why can't they make a Harold seem like this cool guy for a change. xD

You have 3 characters in games named after you, 2 of them main characters, be happy! Afaik I only have one ^^
(also, who knows, maybe Harold Halibut turns out to be cool in this game? :D)

Well Steam Sales just ended and i am pretty sure lots of users spent lots of cash on it and are now tight on budget. For those that didn't spend a dime on Steam, i highly doubt will even donate to your game.(not a prejudice opinion but still think about it if Steam Sales didn't get these to budge on spending then why will they spend on an unfinished game?) Bad timing overall but still i wish you best of luck

It's not my game, I have nothing to do with the devs, and not everyone spent money during the sale (some only used card money, some boycotted Steam/didn't find anything to buy) or spent so much that there's no money left for anything this month or next month, but I guess I kinda get your point.

Ah i just took a quick glance and thought it was your game or something, sorry bout that. Yeah dunno about that boycott though, those stuff only works if whole community actually joins. I dunno but based on what i've seen from kickstarter with games needing donations in the past but in the end the devs ran away with the cash and leaving with an unfinished game (i know there are only like a few bad cookies, but it can happen) but i hope stuff like this doesn't happen to anyone but still its tough sometimes to decide that.

Well, they've received financial support by their state (media grant or something) and have been working on the game for 5+ years - this really doesn't seem like the type of thing they'd bail on now, when they probably only have 1 or 2 years of development left. I think they even stated somewhere that they'd waited with their Kickstarter until they really had something to show us and were confident they could finish.
Of course these things are always a gamble, but at least this campaign is all or nothing (you get your money back if it doesn't reach the goal in a month), with an ambitious first funding goal, so I feel pretty confident about it being made.

I'd happily back so much nice stuff, alas I don't own a credit card. I wish they would finally accept Paypal before funding goals are reached.

I know, I had completely tuned out everything Kickstarter because of the credit card thing, but seeing that this is a German studio, I thought maybe they'd changed it, and they have :D

This is interesting. Rather reminiscent of The Dream Machine. Haven't quite made my mind up whether to support it yet, but it is certainly tempting (more point & click adventures are usually very welcome). Though if they don't reach full voice acting, I'll be sad.

Btw I don't remember where exactly I found it, but I have just recently discovered this (Trüberbrook, a detective point'n'click adventure made with 100% handmade assets and taking place in Germany's late 1960ies) and it pretty much reminds me of what I can see on Kickstarter for this project. I'm very hyped about Trüberbrook and Harold Dingsda looks just as nice. Good times ahead :D
