I had typed out a nice well thought out suggestion and fat fingered the back button when copying in my GA and lost the entire thing FML. This version is shorter because I'm a little bit (no a lot) annoyed. This idea steams from the fact I was going to post an idea searched it and can see that the idea has been suggested several times so I could either necro a thread or suggest it again into the void. There is no indication on many suggestions if they will be considered .. it's just a rinse repeat of many suggestions as community members come and go.

No, I don't care - it's good enough.
Potato Opinion

Any improvements are welcome, but honestly, I feel like the site is good enough as it is and I'm just happy it stays up for us to use. I think the site has been kind of coasting for years with most updates just being small fixes for issues or server stuff to keep the site running smooth. I don't think there is enough being developed to have a dedicated roadmap. That will probably put pressure on CG to do more work that I'm guessing he doesn't want to do and make the site feel like a chore for him.

Given you're the only engagement with a comment I suspect you are probably bang on. lol.

There are ways to manage and not take on the workload. I don't think managing a list would be that difficult either, I mean not like it's hundreds of things.. but a few things here and there would be pretty rad.

I kinda agree with Turbo above, though I think a roadmap would be more appropriate if there were several develop staff working on the site, rather than just CG.

Judging from previous announcements it seems more like CG works on things as they appear or gets an idea for, no real forward thinking (future development) and any current develop is taken care of over the course of a week or so.

We should also probably take into account that SG is over 14 years old now, and is pretty much a custom made website, anything that old is bound to have outdated code that isn't in use but hasn't been removed and such. Some changes would likely require a complete rebuild of the code, but since CG is the only one working on it, we don't know the condition it's in and a complete rebuild for one person is almost an impossible task - by the time you finish the task it is already outdated again.

I VOTED, id like to see the future, and more features is always good, I think improving the basic framework of the site is all thats left really, its ok as is but can be improved.

I wish there was a way to fix the botted giveaways though, lots of people mean well when they make a public giveaway only for it to get 5k entries, steamdrops has a verification system that takes a while but seems very effective
