Do you have a noise or sound that helps you fall asleep?
I'm usually always exhausted by the time I go to sleep so noise rarely bothers me. I usually sleep with a window fan because it's hot in my room. If I know I'm not complete knackered then I'll usually play some music to help lull me to sleep.
I live in California so I never get this luxury, but the 2 times a year where it rains are the days when I get the best sleep of my life.

I drink hot chocolate. I've heard some people fall asleep with warm milk, and I use milk in my hot chocolate, so that might have something to do with it. Almost always makes me doze off, though. XD

Get up and go for a run. Yes, even when it's fucking freezing :)

Someone mentioned socks. I hate socks when I am sleeping; nevertheless, quite a few times I have been kept up for over 30 minutes because my feet are cold and too lazy to do this: Go to the bathroom sink, or any pail, and fill with hottest water. Soak feet for 5 minutes in hottest water.
Self-hypnosis: Counting sheep is too boring and dumb. I imagine that I am gliding down a massive tube slide; it sways left and right and dives down and takes hard turns. The rocking motion is very soothing (assuming that you do not get motion sickness from your own imagination.)

everything that stops my head from thinking, thinking, thinking... :B
tv series, lets plays - but not with action or topics that make my head THINKING again...
music doesn't realy work because my body wants to move then; ends in restless leg... :P

No problems falling asleep at all, never had, but to make me feel absolutely comfortable I prefer not to wear any clothing, I need fresh air - even in the coldest of winter I have my window open, even if only for a very small gap - , cool temperatures on the outside- in summer I sleep outside on my veranda -, warmth underneath the blankets - some sheepskin and a hot water bottle do miracles when it comes to cold feet and freezing temperatures in wintertime - and last but not least silence. I live in the middle of the forest in a remote place and there is no traffic at all nearby, very rarely even during daytime, so every night I go to sleep to the sound of wind in the treetops. Needless to say, I love sleeping <3

Right now it's November in northern Wisconsin aka Minnesota 2.0 aka Canada 0.5.
It's cold as hell and my toes are freezing even with socks on but the heater's on. I really like the heater because it's situated on my room's ceiling and when it kicks in it makes a gentle sound while it filters in the heat. Unfortunately, it doesn't do it forever since it decides "well, 65 degrees is warm enough! My work here is done." D:
Things like the TV prevent me from sleeping, but things like rain and the heater are like lullabies for me.
So I guess my little discussion here is exactly what's on the tin, metaphorically speaking.
