We should be allowed to give away Metro 2033.

If this is the game I'm thinking of, monitor, actually. You can use F8 to reboot in VGA mode and get the OS properly booting without too much hassle after it freaks out, but enough times and it damages the monitor. Not cool....

Editing to add: It seems to set some bizarre combination of resolution and refresh rate on some configs. Ignores what it's supposed to be at, and if your monitor is one that doesn't take kindly to that, expect trouble.
