While DayZ (a mod for ARMA:II) almost ends up in the "FPS games" you said you didn't like, if you enjoy zombie films/series, this multiplayer sandbox zombie apocalypse survival mod replicates the paranoia and the feeling of actually trying to survive during a zombie outbreak.
It's probably one of my games so far. It's really liberating and you better schedule an appointment to the doctor soon, because you're going to go crazy with paranoia.

I've got DayZ/Arma 2. I got into it right when it started getting popular, and I ended up putting hundreds of hours into it, but for now I am a bit bored of it. I am just waiting for the Standalone to come along and fix the big issues with the Arma 2 engine.

Definitely Castle Crashers was the most fun I've had with a Co-Op game in 2012.

:) Me and my boyfriend usually play together these games - hoard, age of rocks, lef4dead2, tf2, orcs must die 2, we also played trine 2, saints row, magicka. And that's it I guess :) And funny fact is that no matter how our relationship is beauty and calm and we do not have fights (3 years being together, just few of them were :D), when we play together we yell at each other A LOT :D Few times I got so nervous, I even quit the game and didn't talk with him for couple of hours :D

Oh and also bunch of heroes (waves was really great and funny to play, but unfortunately game has A LOT of bugs) and DOTA2. I can't say what are our favorite games so far, because we play, we get bored, we play different game, think , oh,that's cool! and then we get bored again.....

I am looking for some good multiplayer/lan/co-op games to play with my girlfriend, and we couldn't really find any that we were both interested in, so I was curious what you all liked this year.
Keep in mind, I'm not so much into FPS games.
