Simply print the jpg or pdf (or use paint programs) and complete the connect-the-dots and submit your finished picture in this thread! For participating you will be invited to a special Steam group for GA rewards!

The Kizhi Pogost Challenge!

Where: Lake Onega, Republic of Karelia, Russia
What: The Pogost includes the church of the Transfiguration, the church of the Intercession and a bell-tower.

Interesting facts:

1. The original usage of the word "Pogost" applies to the coaching inn for princes and ecclesiastics. In the end of the 10th century pogosts transformed into administrative and territorial districts. Pogosts varied in size, ranging from tens to hundreds of villages in 11th—14th centuries. As Christianity spread in Russia, churches were built in pogosts.
2. According to the Russian carpentry traditions of that time, the Transfiguration Church was built of wood only with no nails.
3. The church of the Transfiguration is not heated and is, therefore, called a summer church and does not hold winter services, on the other hand the church of the Intercession is heated and host services are held from October 1 until Easter.
4. In 1990, it was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites and in 1993 listed as a Russian Cultural Heritage site.
