Landmarks Connect-the-dots and Coloring Challenge (Sept-Dec 2016) FAQ on event!!

Welcome to the Landmarks Dot-to-Dot and Coloring challenge FAQ!

NOTE:

Schedule has been updated after the 2 week break of Nov 13-26.

What is it??!

1. Each week there will be 2 different dot-to-dot of famous landmarks on two separate threads hosted by SG members. For basic participation GAs, you can choose to do only one of the dot-to-dots.
2. You may then join in on the extra COLORING challenge where once you finish your dot-to-dot you then add color to the image using ANY medium you desire... i.e. color crayons, colored pencils, pastel, watercolor, color pen OR you can choose to use any computer program (Photoshop, Paint etc) to add color. (If you chose to do the color challenge you need only submit your colored finished picture... no need to also submit the completed dot-to-dot before coloring.)
3. All submissions must be completed using the original dot-to-dot picture. (no freehand drawings, different views etc.)
4. You can add detailed drawings to your dot-to-dot, adding shading or enhancements to background (clouds etc...) or details of ANY kind to make your dot-to-dot even more stunning!! (Note: Detail must not overshadow the focus of the content being on the connect-the-dot image.)
5. Original detail lines and the drawn dot-to-dot lines must be retained in the final submission. Any removal of lines for design purposes or overlay in front of lines covering original lines must be minimal and not take away from the main landmark focus (building, monument, etc...).
6. You may do both dot-to-dots for that week and also color challenges for additional rewards, leaderboard recognition and points for future rewards and GAs!!
7. Submission must be completed during the challenge week following the schedule on this thread.
8. Anyone can vote on the submissions-- not just the participants for that week.

Weekly Schedule of Dot-to-Dot and Color Challenges!!

POINT SYSTEM for LEADERBOARD:

The top ten images for each challenge will receive a set number of points based on the votes.
The winner will get 15p, runner up 13p, third place 11p,
4-10th place gets 9-3p in falling order.
And finally all other participants will get 2p.
Shared positions will get the same amount of points.
The hosts each week will also give out 5 points to their favourite image in their challenge, and 3 points in the other host's challenge for some bonus points.

GA Rewards:

1. A Steam group will be formed and all participants will be invited to join after the first weeks submissions are completed.
2. EACH ga will have an explanation of who may join the GA... i.e. all participants, participants who completed at least one color challenge for the week, participants who completed both dot-to-dot challenges, participants who completed both color challenges, and leaderboard winners.
3. To submit a GA contribution for the event it must be created to start and end during the REWARD week time period with an explanation in the description of WHO you want included in that GA. (set a stipulation as explained in number 2)
4. Please READ the description in the GA and join if you qualify accordingly.

HOSTING a week:

If you would like to host one week then message me on steam and express interest with the week of your interest and which dot-to-dot you want to host.

1. Create a thread from a TEMPLATE I will provide at beginning of the CHALLENGE WEEK, that will include a link to the new dot-to-dot picture.
2. Come up with a unique way to introduce your landmark, or simply write up a brief synopsis of interesting facts of the landmark.
3. Simply edit the areas of the template wherever it says INSERT HERE.
4. State that submissions of the dot-to-dot are to be made on that thread, and when submissions are received be attentive to responding to the participants with "Awesomeness!", "great job" etc... (thus bumping the thread)
5. You may option to make sure to offer rewards during your week to the steam group... (although not required)
6. After your week is over-- pick one submission from your thread and one from the other's hosts thread for bonus points. From your thread the picked submission receives +5 points, and from your fellow hosting thread the one you pick receives +3 points.
7. Type up the reasons (motivations) for your host picks and give it to Nordhbane.
