The chance of any individual user winning under this user-manipulation of team wins is virtually zero for everyone (which is not the same as astronomical). The chance for some without this manipulation would likely be zero (rather than virtually zero), because there's a more than fair chance that one or more teams wouldn't win any day. The difference between virtually zero and zero is meaningful. It is meaningful to have one's odds be 1 in 50,000 or 100,000 rather than 0. My grandma has 0 odds of winning three Steam games.

Where's the fun if you don't win? At least you'll have the chance this way.

There is no point. And there was no point before. The only way the rankings can be swayed is by wasting money on cards or fucking tokens while Valve collects their 15% cut. That's not fun, and it makes you a sucker if you buy into it.

This strategy guarantees everyone a fair slice while minimizing the collective amount of money wasted on "fighting".
