So yea. Which one? (Or recommend a different one.) (Budget 50$ max.)

Also do I have to remove my MoBo to install it?(I hope not... one of my screws on the MoBo is stripped. ;_;)

So glad I have you guys for my retarded questions. <3

EDITED: Also, are they good for overclocking? GPU is gtx 670, CPU is i5 3570k.

Just keep your comp in a mini-fridge!

212+ is enough. No need to spend extra bucks for the EVO. Can easily vouch for 212 plus, I have all of them on my PCs. All are still working

Minimal difference

Ah okay. I just had no clue what was the difference/what was better.

Seems EVO isn't that much better. :o

the difference? there's no gaps in the heatpipes in EVO compared to 212+

Performance 212+ = 212 Evo (tested)

Note:
i have a 212+ and v8, in this moment.(2PCs)

See:<
Phenom II x4 965 (OC 3.97Ghz)

212+ (2000rpm) = 29Β°min / 46Β° max

V8 (2000rpm)= 29Β° min / 45Β° max

whith artic silver 5.

212+ is a exelentent air cooler.

[Sorry for my english.]

I think it is fantastic that we are still using the Arctic Silver product line after so many years.

They're both good the Evo is just a little better because there's no space between the heat pipes at the base. That means you get more of the pipes directly over the cores and makes it a little easier to correctly apply the thermal paste.

Unless your case has a cutout behind the motherboard you will have to remove it because the 212 mounts with a backplate.

Either can handle a fair amount of overclocking.

I would go with Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus :)

evo is better but not much and u probably will have to remove ur mobo unless u have a hole in ur case that lets u install a back plate

Go buy a Noctua or Scythe (Mugen) these are the bests for air cooling.

They may be among the best but they're also huge and cost 2 or 3 times the price of the 212s.

I have a 212 evo on an i7 3770k @ 4.2 ghz and my temps while gaming are around 50-60c? Depends on the game and how hardcore it's using the CPU/GPU (cause gpu heats up the case which in terms brings some heat up to the cpu as well?)

Anyway, the temps seem really good, on a 100% stress test I don't think I went past 77c?

If you haven't bought one yet they're on sale at Newegg, 15% off with code BTEXTWM38, and have rebates.

212+ for $15.50 or 212 Evo for $24.75

Oh neat. Guess now is time to buy.

I always forget to do rebates. ;_;
