Hello Guys

I have a steam gift game and someone want to trade but he have no gift only humbebundle link. What i can do that im not getting scammed? First he give me link and i give him the gift or i need a third person?
Sorry for my not so good english im a german guy :)

Check his rep. If he has a lot of positive rep you can most likely trust him.

If this is off of steamgifts then there are trader groups on steam that can loan you a third person to prevent scamming.

If he goes first, it should be fine, also always make sure that you are not dealing with an impersonator.

An impersonator is a person who tries to scam somebody by impersonating another person. They would use (on steam) the same avatar and nickname of the trader they are trying to impersonate, they will give you and/or add to their profile links to SG and/or steamrep profile pages of the trader they are impersonating (and who has good rep and no scammer reports). A lot of people fall for it, thinking they are dealing with that trader, and will trust the scammer.

If he trusts you, there is no issue (he gives you link, you activate it or send the key link to yourself and you give him gift). If he doesn't, check his SG rep - if he has lots of positive rep (and not all of that in just the last month or so) and no real negative rep, he is likely trustworthy. Also, make sure you are not dealing with an impersonator (if the trader gives you links to SG or steamrep profile pages, make sure they really redirect to the person you are trading with).
