Shouldn't you post the same here as in https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/oN0YOen ? :)
Comparing poor IG to oh-so-evil G2A, but letting shady TG off the hook without a big speech?

That's an exhausting, annoying topic to begin with, so at the very least, let's not tangent and clutter up another thread with it.
I've replied to you here: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/JYEUKCi
TBH, I should probably just make a dedicated thread for it and redirect all questions about the matter to it, instead. -.-;

I just had Double Fine Adventure revoked that I got from Tremorgames.

Looks like someone traded in a bunch of humble giftlinks and has issued a chargeback. I guess we'll have to wait and see how many people are affected. Tremor have spoken on the possibility of this happening:
'Yes, you would be refunded if there's a problem.
Anyone can trade in games now. We've not had any problems yet. We can always add trade in restrictions for accounts if required although it has been unnecessary till now. Also it is very difficult to buy multiple bundles from Humble bundle. And the user would have to create multiple accounts at Tremor Games too which is difficult again.
For all the effort needed, it would actually be more profitable for a scammer putting in more effort at other sites or things compared to trading in games here.'

I recently researched this for a post in a silly games collection group, and I've seen HB keys revoked (for real payment fraud or not) after up to 3 months. Only after 100 days would I consider HB keys safe.
I've seen HB keys revoked (after bundles were arbitrarily refunded) some weeks after purchase. Most recently happened to HB Monthly purchases of somebody I know, but also 1-2 years ago happened to a normal bundle bought by a trader I know.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's like "this one time, we don't like you buying multiple copies of this, and so we decided to wait three weeks before refunding it because that makes it more funny for us", I assume.
Contacting them directly wasn't tried, it's not useful when the bundle in question can't be bought anymore. Every time I contacted HB Support about anything, the reply was "you can have a refund if you don't like what we did here". I doubt their overworked 'ninjas' have the power to actually do or look up anything, beyond giving refunds.
Comment has been collapsed.
Is there any good reason to do that? I mean, if your friend is creating tens of accounts just to buy Humble Bundle Monthly for reselling XCOM 2, Total War: WARHAMMER or The Witness, that is pretty damn obvious he is selling them elsewhere. Everyone knows about G2A and Kinguin prices being higher than the actual bundle price. So yeah, your friend is just busted. It's not random.
Here's something from Humble Bundle's Terms of Service:
(a) Termination by Humble Bundle. If you fail, or Humble Bundle, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines or suspects that you have failed, to comply with any of these Terms, including but not limited to failure to make payment of fees due, failure to provide Humble Bundle with a valid payment method, failure to safeguard your download page, or violation of our usage rules or any license to the software, Humble Bundle, at its sole discretion, without notice to you may: (i) terminate these Terms and/or your download page, and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or (ii) terminate the license to the software; and/or (iii) preclude access to the Service (or any part thereof). No such termination by Humble Bundle shall limit any other rights Humble Bundle may have in law or at equity.
PS. Just to add that if your friend is also complaining about keys being used all the time, that's one of the signs that the person is reselling or trading the keys. I mean, if I were working for HB and I'd want to get Total War: WARHAMMER, I'd go to G2A, get Shield, buy cheapest copy, compare cd key with HBs own list: Match! Roger dodger, ban the user and revoke the keys. Get money back on G2A, repeat.
Comment has been collapsed.
is shield money refunded as well? if not, it's raining moneyz for G2A in this case for nothing lol (and way more than % from sale I suppose)
Comment has been collapsed.
so it works once, unless you try to /play the system/ which places one in a same row as anyone else. oh well, not my concern
Comment has been collapsed.
Large publishers which Humble Bundle mostly has have their own access for modifying and generating new keys. Humble would easily ask them to delete those keys and show the evidence to G2A that they don't work -> Money back, since product was not delivered. Then again, and again. Of course it would be suspicious looking why same guy gets all the non-working keys but that would at least reveal some resellers. 😁
Comment has been collapsed.
oh, not denying technical possibility,
and don't get me wrong, not defending G2A business (while HB also have some not so nice practices, but waaaay different level).
just saying that if HB would take advantage of Shield to discover keys being resold and breaking ToS, revoking etc would make them as shady as those publicly condemned - this is no official way, and using holes in the system

Randomly refunding bundles? Wut?
Never heard, never seen anyone who got affected by this and I've been using Humble Bundle since 2012.
They will "randomly" refund the bundle if you ask the support to refund it. They will also take care of the stolen/not paid keys. However, if there will happen some sort of bug or error and you for example get double the amount of keys for certain games, they take full responsibility of that and will let you keep those keys. This scenario happened once not that long ago and they let you keep the keys, so yeah - the best service there is, if you really buy the bundles with your own money and no intentions of scamming anyone.
They might actually revoke the keys if they find out that you're selling them wherever (G2A, Kinguin, Steamtrades etc.). They have rights to do that, it says in their ToS that you can't sell the keys forward. But the chances of them finding that out are 0,00% unless reseller helps them himself.

I've been using Humble Bundle since 2012.
2010 HB acc here, so you're a noob and just have no clue.
The topic was not what you did not see in your years of buying HB, but what can and does happen from time to time, namely undesired refunds. Like the existence of deities is not disproved by you not having met them, the existence of Surprise Refunds does not depend on you having observed them personally.
I can't deny that I have one bundle here that I refunded because of unannounced censorship, and the keys I activated from it didn't get revoked from my account - essentially they were free games. (I also bought the bundle again with sufficient precautions afterwards; please don't start scam schemes like that, dear readers.)
But at the same time, I don't think "they make mistakes and then you get to keep something for free" is good service. Good service is replying within 2 to 36 hours, not 5+ days when a deal or specific BTA price is already long gone.
Comment has been collapsed.
It kinda is, you pay around 50 to 100% more for a whole bundle; however, I often miss only 1 or 2 games from bundles, so there is no way that I m buying those - than it's kinda ok-ish.. if they cost 99 or 199 coins.. everything more is a ripoff.
For 1 cs go key you get ~1500 coins; that makes 99 coin game 16 cents.
Also, not to mention time saved for trying to get decent deal for that game on steamtrades.

Where exactly was the "page shifter" located?

Frickity Frookity Frackity, Fliberty, Flounder. The Witness, which I bought off someone (who likely got it off someone who got it off Tremor I guess or maybe the seller did...) was randomly revoked... There's $5+a cheap set of cards I won't see back again. Contacted the trader "Sorry I had traded someone else for that key, and that person removed me, I'll let you know if I get a hold of them. I can't refund your money, I already spent it and crafted the badge, but please don't give me a neg rep because of this."
No extra notices for anything else that I seen, I only recall buying one game from Tremor myself and that seems fine, but I guess I don't know where the keys come from when I buy them off random people!
The Great Sky Kitten, the ultimate tormentor, must be laughing at me now.

Most likely, which will make people look bad on here who were actually trying, or force them to buy the game again.

You'll notice I included a certain caveat to my original statement. :P
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to confirm revocations as, in Valve's typical face-palm-inducing customer-unfriendly way, there's no way to manually reference a list of such [and good luck getting any kind of functional response out of "support".].
If you used Barter for trades, it keeps a record of past trades for you, and I believe Tremor may keep a log of purchased items as well. So if you're worried, you can just manually check against any recent acquisitions by cross-checking against those lists. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, if you click your wallet amount in the top right corner of client, and then click 'view licenses and product key activations', it'll give you a list sorted by activation date, so it's not unfeasible for you to do such with minimal effort.
There used to be a site that did it for you automatically, just by you logging in to it daily, but it seems to have been taken down. Similarly, any time Barter.vg synced your account, it would update your library there- though that wasn't sorted similarly, so it made for a rather inefficient way to cross-check. As is, manual obsession may be the way to go- certainly more reliable than expecting Valve to ever get their act together. :X
Edit: Actually, I recall that IsThereAnyDeal has a library syncing section: https://isthereanydeal.com/collection/
I haven't ever messed with that, but you may wanna see if that does what you want. :)

Any idea why https://isthereanydeal.com/log/#/filter:log-removed has a lot of false alarms for me? It lists Tomb Raider III, The Forest and other games that I definitely still own.
Comment has been collapsed.
It was some ITAD magic:
2017-02-19 16:45 collection removed by system Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft
2017-01-18 00:07 collection added by system Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft
and I still own it.
Mostly happens due to changes of game titles:
2017-02-19 16:45 collection removed by system Ghost Master®
2017-02-16 19:20 collection removed by system Ghost Master®
2017-02-04 22:00 collection removed by system Ghost Master®
2017-02-03 00:40 collection removed by system Ghost Master®
2017-02-01 22:15 collection removed by system Ghost Master®
2017-01-31 21:30 collection removed by system Ghost Master®
2017-01-18 00:07 collection added by system Ghost Master®
I dunno why it was added one time, but got removed several times. :D

I also have The Forest, Nightfall: Escape, and others randomly get removed (and sometimes re-added in ways one would expect). A few renames indeed, like Star Sky 2, but The Forest wasn't renamed from what I can tell. Maybe WAR CUBE became War Cube.

Wow they REALLY do not want you playing Ghost Master.

..... and it seems if you setup a wishlist for alert purposes like I did months ago. Your games owned list is a separate thing (collection) and may not be already setup like I assumed it was. My log only shows stuff being added or removed from my wishlist. I was thinking "well yes it got removed when I bought it, so where is the add part." Took me a few minutes of playing with the filters to realized I had no collection data for games owned. I'm imported now and this log will be useful for the future.
Thanks for pointing this function out. I did not know ITAD could do that.
Not an issue here for me as I've never used Tremor games nor do I trade so I doubt I have any removed stuff. I do have a spreadsheet with everything I've ever bought but this sort of log would have been a lot nicer to check with. It shouldn't to hard to export a list of owned games from steam and cross compare to a list from my sheet once I filter out the unredeemed stuff.

+1 This method does work, but yes, the longer you have been using the site, the better the results.
Question: Is there an easier method out there, I'd like to know if I've had anything revoked, specially if steam isn't reliably giving notifications.
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't remember the circumstances clearly now- I think the group simply wasn't recruiting anyone at the time?- but I know I got denied the one time I poked around at it. And the group's small size does kind of indicate a trend toward more selective inviting.
I may have misread the matter, however. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
By the way access to the website is not tied to membership in the group you just have to ask nelly in the BLAEO thread to add you to the site ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
I assume you're referring to a "long time ago", back when only the group on Steam existed.
That group may have stricter criteria for joining but now there's a site too which, as far as I know, is open for everyone :) just ask to join :)
(I think those criteria are mostly "use the site/get involved with it/perhaps play your games", to avoid people joining the group just for potential giveaways ..or maybe recruiting is not active at the moment, not that I really know) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Comment has been collapsed.
I assume you're referring to a "long time ago", back when only the group on Steam existed.
Nope, 'cuz the only reason I was curious about joining up was for the site features (and I didn't have any consideration towards the group for its own sake at all). :P
I wanna say maybe 8 months ago?
Comment has been collapsed.
That's strange.. site has 600+ users atm, I think I only saw one before complaining about not being able to join (was it you, perhaps?) plus another one who got kicked from the group for inactivity but was admitted in the site when they asked anyway.
Maybe you were unlucky, or they were organizing things.. don't know but I'm sorry to hear this, because the site is actually helpful and people are nice, never read of any issue there.
Also, you get to read better game reviews than usual Steam store's ones.
I think you should ask again to join.. worst case, nothing changes =P but I don't think this would be the case :)
Comment has been collapsed.
was it you, perhaps?)
I can be reasonably certain it was not, as I'm fairly sure all my interactions were through Steam chats.
Besides, 1. I wouldn't complain about something so meaningless and 2. If it was me complaining, you'd probably remember it. :P
And keep in mind, my interest was more probing curiosity than anything, so even a "Too busy for recruitment, check back in a week" would have been enough to dissuade me, at the time. Also, there was a certain misunderstanding with another user still at play at the time that may have affected things.
Basically, I've no foundation for making any claims toward the recruitment habits of the site or group- but then, I wasn't intending to give the impression I was making any such claims, but just indicating why I had a certain personal assumption about such. :)

Indiegala games are directly bought by Tremor admins so you will not have them revoked. On the other hand, Humble Bundles are bought by members of Tremorgames and traded in exchange of Tremor Coins, so some member(s) are scamming Tremor Games buying Humble bundles with stolen CC.

Damn. I have a GA for three copies of a game from Tremor setup to start at midnight tonight. Wonder if I should hold off now.......

I don't have a single game that I bought from Tremor Games and my last trade was over a year ago but it looks like a lot of people are having problems with different games that are getting revoked.
Has this happened before with keys from Tremor games?
Comment has been collapsed.
That's not good and what is worse is that there most probably will be SG gifters, winners and traders affected by these revoked keys.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm retired from trading for about a year now but that's some very good advise there. :-)
Comment has been collapsed.
I got removed the game "Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble" a couple of hours ago too, is weird because I never had any issue with tremor till today
Comment has been collapsed.
If you got the game directly from Tremor Games you should contact support. There could be an issue with the dev/publisher and the keys distributed there.
For those getting things revoked that didn't personally get the game on Tremor Games check where you obtained the game from. If you got it in a giveaway on here make sure you contact SG support and send a screenshot of the game being revoked so you don't get suspended. If you got it via a trade on StreamTrades or bought from some place like G2A the game could of been obtained by a stolen credit card or the person who bought it originally had it revoked. There's a lot of different things it could of been..
Sorry to all those who got their games revoked. Hoping for the best for you all.
Comment has been collapsed.
you should contact the giver and give them chance to remove the giveaways...... it may be not their fault
Comment has been collapsed.
It just happened to me too, with Spirits, so emailing their support I presume...

If you want to keep track of games that get revoked, IsThereAnyDeal will send you warning notices whenever it finds a game disappearing from your Steam account between one check and another.
