Second point, I think you don't. You entered the giveaways correctly, and there is no reason to boot you from the giveaways

According to official site policies, you're deemed as having an ineligble entry. The GA creator can choose to accept (or simply not notice) the status of your entry, but they also have full reroll rights on the basis of the entry not being valid. You can also see this reroll allowance for ineligible entry granted if the winner wasn't in a required group at the time of their win.
It's worth highlighting that there are plenty of users (especially in the past) who will flood games [eg, from free promos] for CV before staff can adjust the CV, and then enter giveaways. Considering that site rules always emphasize restricting exploitation, it's entirely understandable why the allowance exists (and why it defaults to an assumption of exploitation, as it's harder to prove the contrary). Rather, it could be considered surprising that the site doesn't run an automatic check and bypass on such users.

There's also a handy script to add links to SGT directly to user profiles.

Also can be done through ESGST
Options 6.6 "Real Won/Sent CV Link" changes the Gifts Won and Gifts Sent text when you click on a user's avatar into links to sgtools.
Options 6.3 "Not Activated/Multiple Win Checker" Let's you check if a user has unactivated/multiple wins and adds a link to sgtools.

I'm curious -- is there a way to find out which title dropped in value?
There is no easy way, only checking recently bundled games and guessing which one you made giveaway for.
Also curious, if I had been in any 5+ GAs when the price change synched with SG, would I have been bumped and the points refunded?
No, you can still win it.

I hit CV L5 two days ago, 5.07 to be precise. Now I'm at 4.95. I know that's normal, and it happens with price changes at Steam.
