So how is Fez?

It's supposedly a decent game but it doesn't look appealing enough to me to make up for the creator being a massive prick.

From the little I played, it was pretty cool. I don't have a problem with Phil Fish. I don't get offended at things easily, neither do I care about what someone says when they're dishing for hate. I just find it kinda funny.

Also, people seem to forget that Phil wasn't the only guy working on the game. It was developed by Renaud Bédard, who's actually a cool guy. So think of it this way, you'll be buying a good game, and supporting both a dude hated by people that need to stop getting offended over stuff on the net, and a dude who is pretty chill.

I havent played it but it doesn't attract me in any way to be honest

if you really like puzzles, it's good.

The free-roam exploring is interesting but its a bit slow.

You will need to go back and forth between levels and after a while the slow level switch "animation" and slow movement becomes tedious.

Its a decent game - nothing too special but not bad either.

I bought it, tried it and its really worth it :)

It's a very special puzzle game. Don't read too much about it, just enjoy the experience.

I absolutely loved FEZ! Here's the thing, if you just play it for the platforming, you will be underwhelmed and I think that's where a lot of people are saying it sucks. To really 'get' the game you need to take it upon yourself to really dig deep into the game and hunt down the 'anticubes'. With those I found myself on the internet searching about how Judaism and geometry would fit together and with pen and paper at my side de-coding the games alphabet (which you do have to be attentive to find the cipher to). If difficult and obtuse puzzles aren't your thing, pass on it, but if you like to give your brain a really good problem solving workout, you need this game in your life.
And for the record, Phil Fish doesn't deserve all the shit he gets. He made a stellar game with every ounce of his passion and it shows. He's human and under the microscope, people will find shit to twist out of context to defame him with. Dude said suck my dick, so what, I bet his haters have posted shit far worse online. Something something glass houses.

I bought it, but then realized that it was a terrible purchase because I'm absolutely terrible at puzzle games.

If you like puzzles, this is a great game, though.

I watched Indie Game: The Movie and I personally have a lot of respect for Phil.

It's really Awesome. I really had a ton of fun with it.

I dont understand how everybody doesn't like this game because of the developer. Sure he is probably a prick but who cares as long as the game ist good. I mean it doesn't make the game worse.
