Hello everyone. yesterady i bough The Walking Dead season 2 from G2A weekly sale but instead of getting cd key i got the game as a gift from someone on steam and i dont know why its like that its not my first time that i bough games from this website and i always got a cd key but this time i got the game as a gift from a user and i didnt buy from custom sellers. i wouldnt care so mutch but there is also a problem with the game i installed it and everything was fine but there is a bug on the first chapter and i can do nothing to fix it. can someone who already bough from G2A explain me please why i got the game as a gift from other user?

If the problem is in game itself, I guess G2A has nothing to do with it.

Since you can't refund a gift, you can always try to re-install, change or update drivers, I don't know. May disk format will help, but that's up to you. If I were you I would just freak out, and try to re install, if that doesn't help I would give up.
I also don't know what exactly that bug is ;)

i tried to delete the saves and start the game from the beggining and i already reinstalled the game. i only found few people on the internet with this problem. i guess i just going to download the game from torrent

Good point you got there, remember, by owning it on steam you do own a license for it. Source of the game doesn't matter. If you, let's say, buy a physical copy but don't have disk drive to install it, you can surely download a torrent and you do not break bad ;)
And even since law is different in other countries, I assume this thing is obvious for everyone.

well i downloaded many games already from torrent but there isnt a federal law that not allows to download cracked games in my country. and i know that you probebly consider it to be a theft but lets not start this argument :)

I never found it bad, and still can't, like if that could kill developers, but it can't, it's nothing bad at all. Many guys buy the game they downloaded from torrents. There can be a time when it's hard to buy a game, but when you got a free buck in pocket why wouldn't you support some devs. I played many pirated games, but if I only could I bought those games ;)

Well, G2A is a unauthorized reseller, meaning it doesn't get keys directly from the source. So, this particular game was acquired from Steam as a gift and just transferred it to you.

About the bug.... Well, I played the game entirely, and didn't find any bug. It's worth mentioning it has nothing to do with the fact you bought it from G2A. Anyway, did you try looking for other people with this bug on the telltale forums?

the bug is at the first chapter when i need to set up the fire at the camp. i picked up the log to use it but when i click on the campfire nothing happens. few people had this bug too and the telltale support suggested to delete save file from game folder, reinstall the game. i tried it but didnt help

It's not a bug, i had it too, there's a certain point of the campfire you need to walk up to. The second season isn't like the first, you can't click on things from afar and walk up to/examine them. You need to walk up to it first and then the clicky thing will appear.

When you buy look on the right side of the screen. It automatically chooses the cheapest one for you and sometimes it's a gift but it will say it is. If you prefer a key you can choose to buy from another seller

It is a bad site. That hasn't changed and probably never will.

Reseller sites can't be good, that's true, but always wondered how it works.

It's not too bad if you buy from a seller with very high ratings. I'm talking like 20,000+ ratings. I've bought a few games there with no issues.
Just be smart about it and you'll be fine.

Everything on the site is from another user.
The website is a gathering point for people to resell their keys and gifts. The website itself just facilities the sales.

It isn't that bad especially if you stick to buying gifts. The only problem that can come with gifts is if the sellers payment for the gift is canceled and if that happens, as long as you got G2A shield you're find

Do NOT try the $2.50 for a random key garbage though, that is a scam

since i never got gifts from non friends on steam before it is fine that i had to add the guy that from him i got the game to my friends list (i removed him a sec after that)? or there is something wrong

It always adds someone you got from or given to gift. Like you know, If you give someone something, it assumes you like that guy or at least know.

  • buy a ''random gift'' for $2.50
  • get a 14 cents bundled shit
  • profit $$$

It's the same as eBay, but for game keys.

Well i going to assume you buy this: The Walking Dead: Season Two STEAM CD-KEY GLOBAL (https://www.g2a.com/the-walking-dead-season-two-steam-cd-key-global.html), if you look to your right, you can see under "G2A Selected offer" an icon of a package and say STEAM GIFT (up to the BUY button), so is normal that some kind of bot deliver you a GIFT copy of the game, autorized resellers always sell keys, but G2A is not.
You can say your purchased was succesfull, you received the game you pay for.

Yep only show a button to buy, but if you search for The Walking Dead: Season Two STEAM CD-KEY GLOBAL you found that page (the price is the same in both cases), and if you buy the "G2A Selected offer" you're buying from G2A not from an user.
I guest that the steam user who send you the game was some kind of boot similar to the one that is used in TREMOR GAMES to deliver items and gift.

If the game is bugged, that's nothing to do with G2A.

Let me tell my experience. Recently I bought a game for myself and one copy to giveaway... When I paid everything went like it should BUT when it delivers, I got a problem. They said that they only can delivery ONE COPY because the other copy isn't available (HOW THE HELL THEY KNOW THAT WITHOUT GIVE IT TO ME?). All right, they refunded game price WITHOUT GRA Shield shit.
Well... I got nothing more than $10 rip off that I KNOW that they didn't (intentionally) send the key.
That was the problem: G2A staff itself were TOTALLY disonest.
So, my review is G2A is like gambling... you NEVER should "bet" high values there. They can rip off taxes, VAT and all that shit and refund only base price.
