Anyone still playing Payday: The Heist ?

Just got it today from deal. Game seems fun but I dont have anyone to play with so my question is anyone still play it online ? I would like to play it with someone

Last time I played it there were a few servers with players online. But that was probably before the Payday 2 release so I am not sure how it is now.

Excuse me, perdon my ignorance. I'm of those who are waiting for a bigger discount for payday 2.
Since I couldn't play the first one, can you explain why you don't like the 2 as much as the 1?

I will always regret not having bought the first part, I thought it was empty long time ago.

I think Payday 2 just misses something from Payday 1.I don't know how to describe it but Payday 2 feels a bit like your generic shooter only with the heisting theme.

Also,the ukranian job sucks.It shouldn't be possible to exploit one complete heist so much.

You can break enough glass with three mines and still make it to the van. Four stores can be stealthed with one ECM.

Payday 1 is janky and grindy.

OK,I have to add these 2 heists.

But payday 2 also requires grinding,at least since that one damned patch.Not as much as Payday1 needed but it still needs grinding.

I heard in general people didn't like to play in pug like they didn`t trust the others making it harder to play for the newbies.

Let me explain. Payday 1, has heists like what you get in movies, whether be it a diamond heist at the 22nd floor of a building, or the famous First World Bank robbery. Never forget the heat street, the most difficult of them all. See, you will not regret buying this game. It is very good, I love it (you can see it as my highest playtime game). The bank robbery in Payday 2 is NOT EVEN close to Payday 1's. Payday 2 is a bit more sophisticated with more stuff like drop and throw bags, bag the corpse of people, but then, it is like any other heist game, what you would expect in a TV show. Payday 1 is totally hollywood action style, high octane action for 5$. I totally recommend getting it. Heck, get it from a russian at 2.5$, but do get it. It has amazing replayibility, and you can't get bored.
Yeah, its servers are almost dead. But due to this sale, it was buzzing today, so not a bad sign

Also, as I was typing up a reply (that will remain unfinished since I'll kinda cover it here) to Maspalomas's question, and after reading the other guy's quick comparison of PD2 to L4D, I think a main difference between 1 and 2 is that in 2, it's much easier to screw something up and get your team mad at you. Unless you never learned to shoot at anything, pissing off your team in Payday 1 would be pretty hard to do unintentionally on most heists. In Payday 2, there are many ways to screw things up for everyone on most heists.
I like both games, but for different reasons, and although I've pretty exclusively just been playing PD2 for the past few months, I do actually miss Green Bridge and First World Bank and Heat Street from the first game.

I enjoyed PAYDAY, it was an awesome experience, best played with friends and voicechat and all that stuff. PAYDAY 2, then... Well, it actually felt more like L4D. Sadly, PAYDAY servers are dead now, but the game is just terrific.
