Only the devs know. But if you are so interested, you should try contacting them. Who knows, they might just remember some PC gamers are interested in such items the next time they release a game.

Bioshock Infinite Songbird Edition and Assassin's Creed III Freedom Edition I both picked up for PC. They exist but only when the PC games are published at retail and the publisher/developer expects a large number of retail copies to be sold in the first place.
I'd stagger a guess and say Payday 2 was, for the PC, focused as a digital distributed game and so they decided not to bother going all out in retail because they wouldn't sell enough to warrant special editions.

Collector/Limited/Special editions should be made for every platform if the actual game is available for the platform, regardless of whether it's PC, Mac, Linux, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, Vita, iOS, Android, Windows Phone...long as the game exists on that platform (ie. the version with extras should also be available for that platform.
That's my belief anyway.

+1, collector are not that much profitable anyway, so they should be available to all platforms. Collectors like Bioshock Infinite or Risen 2 (first 2 that comes to my mind) doesn't require to change a lot on the production process, just insert the cd/key of the desired platform..

I believe he's referring to physical special editions that contain things like statues/item replics, posters, lithographs, soundtracks, DVDs etc. Not just the sloppily put together "Deluxe Editions" that many developers throw out with a soundtrack a few videos, adding $10 to the price.

It could sometimes have to do with the funding or support they received when creating the game. Say, for example, a popular game got to where it was today only because of a breakthrough and promotions through Xbox Live Arcade, the developers would be more inclined to release stuff early/exclusively for the Xbox.

I know, it's a bit weird for them to do that, but I've seen other publishers do that.
Maybe it's the opposite? Since they already know they have a lot of people on the PC, they're trying to get more people playing on console through deals?

Yeah it's pretty stupid. Usually when there is pc CE's as well as console CE's, the pc version sells out first. Now ofc. idk. if there are just that fewer nmbers of the pc version, but still, it looks like pc gamers don't mind buying nice CE's.

I think that's because most console users purchase their games as hard-copies, given they are typically limited to smaller / less known / older games as digital downloads. PC gamers have a big trend towards digital downloads in recent years. It kinda makes sense that the physical bonuses tend more towards console 'plus' editions. Not that they shouldn't have the offer open to PC users too, but that's how it goes~

True, but the thing is that though digital retail is popular, still many people buy retail editions to save the download times. If Batman Arkham origins is gonna be available as a retail edition(boxed),how much effort will it take em to add all the shit they are giving+A pc version to the box?!Atleast add it as an option, because I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who likes to collect stuff. Also,CrappySoft is the only one which actually makes the CE for all,but the stuff given is crap,so I dont bother buying CE for their games.

I feel that it's because most PC copies purchased are digital, as mentioned before. Most console copies are bought as hard retail copies. Instead of artwork and other physical things, some games on Steam I've seen offer a digital feature of the artwork. The Payday 2 Collector's Edition on consoles should also be available for hard PC copies as well, would make things fair. That mask does look great.

I originally planned to buy it for the Xbox, I thought it was cool that it was finally releasing on it. Hell, I almost bought it for both PC and Xbox, until I got SR IV for the 360 instead. My local Gamestop still has the Payday Collector's Edition, so if the prices goes down a bit I might get it, a bit expensive at the moment. Would be a cool little Halloween costume though, for those who still dress up.

do you make limited edition/collector's edition for consoles only?Like,I know some games have crap stuff which are overpriced shit <<Insert Call of Duty here>> but some others, like Payday 2s' are really good.Thing is,it is for XBOX 360/PS3 only! Why the hell?Don't they have such a big community on PC too?And how much effort will it take them to add a PC retail boxed version(which are also available in retail too).[CASE OF PAYDAY 2:Simply add a slip with a stema key, still wont be a problem]
