Odd... I was just listening to that song. It's a great song. :D
The Sky Ferreira cover of it isn't bad, either. ^-^

The only other two songs I can think of right now that make me happy are Ungrateful Little Father by Broken Social Scene and Tea and Crumpets by nal1200 (found out about him from SCGMD2. That game is da shit.).

I don't know why, but this song never fails to leave me feeling happy. Themes of mortality, ultimate futility, and a potentially joyous world full of messed up, myopic people, but with an over-riding clarion call of "Carpe diem! You don't HAVE to swallow the Kool-aid!".

Conor Oberst has to be one of my favourite lyricists. His songs are like a 10 course banquet.

Um... no. I don't blame you lots of people like music, and i'm not going against your guy's music thing. I just don't listen because it is prohibited in my religion. No need for death, it's just belief, and you shoudl respect that. Oh yah and this is what they say in the movies: "I'm too young to die!", but seriously I really am WAY to young to die. Are you sure? And video games have music in them, what do you do? Turn it off each time you load a game? How about when you watch a movie?
I don't see how they could forbid you to enjoy one form of media while allowing all of the others.
