Since the holiday season is aproaching I thought I'd do an Advent calendar for you lovely people of SteamGifts.

Advent calendars are a big part of Christmas tradition where I live and are ment to make waiting for the big day to finally come fun for children and get them into a festive mood.
There are many types of Advent calendars and many people even make their own but the traditional Advent calendar is a box with a festive picture on the front and 24 numbered windows filled with chocolate. Every day children get to open one window and eat the chocolate hidden behind it (normally until they sneak up to it when their parents are sleeping and eat the whole thing in one go :D ).

Every day until Chirstmas I will add a new GA to the calendar below so make sure to revisit this thread regularly and please bump it whenever you find something you'd like so it stays visible until New Year when the last GA ends.

Dec. 14 12. 16. 9. 22.
Dec. 3 1. 4. 18. 7.
Dec. 19 10. 24. 5. 20.
Dec. 6 23. 15. 2. BundleQuest
Dec. 17 8. 13. 21. 11.

Although Advent calendars are a Christmas tradition this event is ment for everyone. We may have different stories to encourage us to be decent human beings but we all love chocolate, don't we?

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Yea ^^ Already looking forward to the first berry punch this year :D
By the way this is probably the only picture in this calender I've taken myself (unless the weather changes anytime soon and turns Vienna into a winter wonderland). That palace is pretty much right around the corner where I live.

My nearly fifteen years as a prison guard probably makes this less funny to me... but the corruption to my sense of humor from that same career oddly enough makes me laugh and cringe at the same time.

I know. I have a very dark humor at times ;) I originally intended to name the thread "A Very Murray Christmas" and fill it with tons of Bill Murray GIFs but I was to lazy to start looking for GIFs and don't want to get sued by Netflix.

Oh another advent calendar, thank you! Where I live Christmas isn't all that big so it's nice to see plenty of Christmas spirit on here. :D

Is it more of a holiday for lovers in Singapore as well or is that just a Japanese thing?

I think that's a Japanese thing. :P We still have some decorations and sales though, but I don't really feel the 'giving' spirit or the love (that's what Christmas is, right?)

In Europe it's a holiday for family and friends (and for many people a time to slow down and focus on the important things) but I heard in Japan it's more of a romantic holiday for couples that is why I was asking ;)
