Could I get clarification on what specifically is and isn't allowed concerning requesting rerolling on suspected bot/multi account winners? I've asked this via ticket in the past and was told that I could request a reroll in this scenario, and have had a separate report solved via a reroll request, but my most recent ticket was denied, stating that "this cannot be a legit reason for reroll."

If the suspected account was innocent, I can understand that, but this statement seems to conflict with what I've been told previously, stating that I can't actually request a reroll in this scenario at all.

What I think happened is you were told that you could request a re-roll if the winner was a bot/multi-account.
Just suspicion of it wouldn't be a good enough reason.

My reroll request ticket prior to this one was successfully rerolled and the user simultaneously suspended on nothing but a suspicion report, which is why I'm confused. It's not really clear to me what dictates a good enough reason to request a reroll, or even report an account.

Looking back, the initial answer I got when asking doesn't really make it clear either:
"If there is an issue with a winner, you can request a new winner and we will check and approve or deny your request accordingly.
In this case, both winners have been suspended so you may request new winners and it will be approved."

Ultimately it doesn't really tell me whether or not a suspect account is a good enough "issue" to send a request on. I had provided no evidence on any of these reports, either, yet they were all suspended.

Edit: I may have misunderstood your response. If you meant that it was denied because they did not see an issue with the account in question, or because I did not provide sufficient evidence to report the account, I can understand that; but the reason I was given was that it's not a legitimate reason to reroll at all.

Suspecting a user of breaking the rules is a good reason to request a reroll, as the SG staff is able to investigate users - it's not entirely clear to us regular users, but I assume they have some internal tools that help verify if users are legitimate. If your suspicions are correct, they will suspend the user and re-roll your giveaway. On the other hand, should they find no evidence of infractions of the rules, your request will be denied.

In general, don't hesitate to keep requesting a re-roll any time you have a legitimate suspicion, think of it as requesting a verification. Staff will verify winners for you and reroll if they find that your suspicions were correct.

Thank you for the response. It's definitely fine with me if they consider the account clean, but being told that a suspect report is not a legitimate reason to send in a request at all is what threw me off in this case.

Regarding edit:
Well, I can't speak for the staff, or even about your specific case as I have no idea what was the reason you provided in the ticket that you felt the winner was a bot/alt account. I can understand why you might be told it's not a legitimate reason to request a reroll if, purely as an example, you were requesting one because the winner has many giveaways entered, and you feel that might mean they used auto-entry scripts/bots. Then yeah, that's not really a good reason to be requesting rerolls every time, unless you have solid evidence to back up your claim.

In that case, I would definitely like more clarification on what is and isn't allowed. In my case, the accounts I've reported were mainly for the same reason: doing nothing but idling on Steam, with apparently zero stats/achievements on any games for years. Naturally, I suspected the accounts were alts, and more than likely bots.
