Updated: April 15th ~ Batch 5 (6 games added - same ticket to board the train)

A Small train with some giveaways that are RogueliKes/Roguelites. I plan to add to this train in the future (when/if I do I will bump the post). The train is Lvl 3+ and is boarded backwards. Why? Cause RogueliKes, that's why. BUMPs/thanks are appreciated. Sorry the discussion is a little earlier than the giveaway start time. This is my first train and I wanted to make sure I set it up properly.

To get your ticket to board the train, find the bolded letters in the message above, reverse the order, and place them in a giveaway link.

[Yes] I love them. It is one of my favorite genres.
[No] I hate them. Fight, Die, Repeat! How original...
[Potato] I don't care about games or genres, I want potatoes! 🥔

Pre-emptive bump. I am only a bit away from the start of one game I would love since I own and have played the first game.

I only see 4 bolded letters, I think there's a different trick that I can't figure out 🤔

Look for an i (it kinda blends with the word since it is lower case. Increasing the zoom on the page can help see it)

I'm always torn about roguelikes. In theory they have multiple elements I dislike but in practice a lot of them are fun non the less ;)

Can't say roguelikes are my favourite, but they are easy to get in and fun to play. Like, I know I'm going to die in 10 minutes, but then the 2nd run is usually easier and I get more familiar withstuff.

I like some and dislike some, and my preferences lean more towards roguelite. When permadeath is a thing, I prefer to fail because my strategy failed. This means I'll have to tweak my strategy as I gain knowledge, experience, and tools. RNG fails are fine, they feel like "oh well, I'm looking forward to a more lucky run", and when that lucky run comes along, it gives me a rush like winning a lottery!

Now if a run fails because I wasn't quick enough or my focus slipped, I feel cheated because it's not something I can build upon. It feels like a wasted run. Muscle memory training is not my idea of a fun game. Games that give me some time to think about my next move or have a robust enough progression system to make up for my subpar skills are perfect for me in those genres, games that have twitch based combat that relies on fast reactions are not.

Thank you for the giveaways!

Thanks for the comment, I enjoyed reading it. I agree with you that some are more enjoyable than others. I tend to prefer the Action Roguelikes (games like Hades, Enter the Gungeon, Neon Abyss, The Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, Undermine, etc.), but sometimes I'm not in the mood for the precise timing/muscle memory you mentioned and I go to a Deckbuilder Roguelike (Slay the Spire, Dicey Dungeons) or Traditional-Roguelike (Tangledeep).
I own all the games in the train (plus some other I didn't mention/giveaway), but I haven't played all of them. I would say that it is one of my favorite genres though, and seeing it as a tag/genre usually gets a wishlist or purchase from me (depending on the price/discount).

No problem for the giveaways, good luck! 🙂🍀

I personally prefer designed games than one's that have randomness, especially when it comes to level design. I'm also a kind of person who prefers playing a game pretty much once and moving on so replayability isn't necessarily the most important factor to me.

But when a rouge like is done well and the repetition isn't distracting or obvious, they can be really awesome and are great at keeping a game forever challenging as you can't just memorize your way through the game. I feel it works best when a game is less level or world focused and more combat focused.
