Actually I am a fan of Strider since the original arcade version (wow that was 1989... almost 30 years already). The steam version is based more on the original Strider 2, which is more stylish, but to be sincere I loved more the old Strider's feeling.
Anyway, the steam version added many metrovania factors. I believe it's a good idea, so I feel bad that the stages are still kind of "divided", not completely connected like metroid so one can move freely among each stage. Another problem is at some places the art makes it hard to know whether a structure is just background or it's part of the stage that you can climb on. Other than these two little problems, I love it and am really hoping another sequel with even more "metroid" style stage design.

Hi Shadelessheart, Strider isn't on your wishlist.
I was a big fan of the original as well. I played it a lot at the arcade as a kid and even owned it for my NES. As for Strider 2, I didn't even remember there was a sequel till you mentioned it just now, thanks. I'm gonna go and check out some videos of it on youtube later. :)

As for Strider 2, it was released on PS, I guess around 2000. Originally it was planned to be a "remake" (since USSR is gone so the original's background story isn't suitable), but Capcom decided to name it 2, so the script writer had a hard time changing the story to make it sound related to 1 yet not equal to 1.

I only played up to Marvel vs Capcom 2 but that and the 3 before it were great. I didn't see Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Steam only Ultimate MVC3. Not sure if there's any major differences between the two. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite looks really good but it seems like it's had its share of mixed reviews on Steam.
I just saw there's a Marvel vs. Capcom Origins. Never heard of this one before now though.

Yeah, I think "Ultimate" here stands for the Steam version, but I might be wrong. Haven't played any of them to be honest. Also first time I hear about the "Origins" one... the more you know... :P

I was playing some old capcom games, specifically Bionic Commando on the Nes, since I really like it, and there's the sequel, and remake on Steam, which I also really enjoyed.
So my friend saw me playing those, and recommended me Stryder, also made by capcom, which apparently also was an old game that was remade and published on Steam, so I thought It should be and amazing title.
