Torchlight 1

Since Torchlight 1 went free for 48 hours on GOG, I thought I should reinstall my one on steam.
When I go to install it, it says scanning for game updates, and just stays like that for ages.

Any idea?

Just try restarting Steam. If that doesn't work then you can cancel the update and just retry running it.

Well I installed it, but it lags crazy. Whenever I move, it teleports me ahead.
