Спасибо and Bump :) Однако, "No CSGO/Dota 2 on account" - это довольно жестко, не находите? Хотя здесь, конечно, вы задаете правила игры, не мне на эту тему рассуждать ✾ Хорошего Вам дня ☀

Нет, не нахожу. В следующий раз добавлю еще трилогию Postal и дилогию Manhunt. ;)

Errgh, because i can do this restriction?
CS:GO - shooter where your main goal is to kill other players over and over again. No fun at all for me. Also a stub of Half-Life.
Dota 2 - arena game where your main goal is to kill other players over and over again. No fun at all for me. Also there is only ONE map to play.
And i say no word about this communities...

People own those games doesn't mean they like / play the game. Those aren't fun for you doesn't mean others cannot like them.

Yep, you are right, and i recently started to change my thoughts about playing this series (and even on all my global expirience of annihilation). Maybe, i disqualify this games in future giveaways. But hey, i not hurmed any real player in them - by weapon or word.

I've seen this rule more than once. Not sure how i feel about it because I dislike these games too but it seems silly to exclude people just for owning games, but his GAs, his rules.

I played it (Dota 2) with a friend to try it out, didn't quite like it myself and stopped after a week but well I guess that's enough reason to be banned from GAs I guess haha

But yeah his rules, can't really do much about them, just a strange thing for me to see is all.

I think your rule may be incorrect.

((num_sent_public+num_sent_private) >= (num_sent_group3)) would translate to Public + Private giveaways >= Group 3, and since SGTools treats Group giveaways as separate from Public/Private that equates to Non-Group giveaways >= 3 * Group giveaways, which would require 3/4 of your giveaways to not be for a Group.

I believe to get no more than 1/3 Group giveaways you would actually want to use ((num_sent_public+num_sent_private) >= (num_sent_group*2)).

Anyway, Abducted looks really cool, but I can't enter because I have more than 1/4 of my giveaways (32.9%) as group giveaways.

Also, is there a way to check playtime via SGTools? That way you could filter out people that actually play CSGO / Dota 2 if you want to, rather than those that may have just bought them or received them as a gift and don't actually play them.

Thx for this little investigation! Yes, i wanted to do a rule of 1/3 group giveaways, but i'm bad person at its creation. I will correct or disable it in the next discussion.
Yep, i heard about checking of playtime but never used it to this day. But i don't care of anybody's playtime. It's always your choice what to do - buy games, accept it as gift, play it, delete it, use it as a rule, ect.

Eh, no worries. It's an honest mistake. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get past the rule, and looking at SGTools I was able to figure it out. Now you know for next time. :)

And my point about the playtime is that if you want to weed out players of particular games, that's your choice, but owning a game doesn't imply playing the game. Someone may have bought Dota thinking that they would like it, and then realized that they hated it, or received it as a gift from a friend (which would be rude to reject) and never played it. It's your choice, obviously, but it just seems silly to rule out people for something they may have done 5 years ago. And there's no way to delete a purchased game from your account, at least that I'm aware of. But I don't see why anyone would delete a game they own when they could just not play it.

Also, since Dota 2 is free to play, wouldn't every Steam account automatically have ownership of it?

For me owning is enough. Just that.
Look at another example - Steamgifts rules violations. Someone may have multiple wins thinking that they would ok with them, and then realized that they were wrong about this situation, or just marked second similar game as recieved by hasty mistake and never be able to enter protected from violations giveaways. And it's no matter was it 7 days ago or 7 years. You violated - you live with it or try your best to resolve this situation and get a clean reputation. That's how i see owning of particular games - you get the game, you keep your account with it, no matter interacting with it or not.
And i'm not forcing anyone to delete them - there are tons of other giveaways on this site to win. Maybe this GAs are just for people who like me totally not interested yet/already in this kind of things.
Not interesting in a detective work for question of owning - i never owned (cause i created my account before its release?), maybe somebody too.

Steam Gifts rules violations seem completely different, since it's specified in the rules that you shouldn't do certain things, and if you win something multiple times by accident you can explain the situation and ask for a re-roll. There are ways to remedy the situation if you make a mistake, is what I'm trying to say.

I figured if SGTools makes it easy, you could filter out those with 10+ hours played, and thus weed out those that actually like the game rather than say those that tried it and found that they hate it, just like you. I was also concerned that, since the game is free, every account technically owns the game and thus would be marked invalid. Is that's not the case?

For me it's the same outcome - you get a game/break the rule, you live with it in your account. And i really don't interesting in how you get a game/violation, why you never played it/never try to clear your account it or left it after X hours.
Well, if Dota 2 forced to be in Steam users's account then we have 65 hackers in the first giveaway and in others.
