Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished for Sega Master System was the first RPG that I've played in my life. :D

The only thing I remember of Y's is a side scroller with terrible grinding and hitboxes, and a top-down hack 'n' slash where you keep killing groups of monsters which explode into power ups.
